Ideal if you want a peaceful place to get away from it all

Our stay was in September. We loved being so close to the coast, opening the curtains in the morning and seeing the sea and blue sky. We loved the peaceful setting, and lighting the little stove in the evenings. The staff were very friendly and kind. We loved being close to The Bellbridge hotel for dinner in the evenings.

Our family of 6 had a brilliant four-night stay at the Quilty Holiday Cottages. Feeding the donkeys, playing tennis and spending time at the playground were great fun but the swimming pool was truly the star attraction. The vibe was relaxed, friendly and family-oriented and sets the standard for our future family holidays.

No chopping board, no serving spoons. The knives for cutting , peeling , paring were extremely blunt and require replacing.

Quilty cottages a pure gem!

This was a great base to see the sites in Clare and travel to Inisheer. The host family were just lovely people and very easygoing and welcoming. A great place to book for young families, the pool is a super addition

Quilty Holiday Cottages

Very handy to have a pool on site for those rainy days where you can't do much outside with the kids, and a little swim is a lovely way to finish off a busy day! Also fantastic to have Spanish point beach just 5 minutes away for the kids and dog to have a nice run around. There's a lovely SuperValu supermarket just 10 minutes away for all the shopping needed. The actual house we stayed in was flawless, super clean and super comfy, and such a quiet location! All cottages are detached so no worries about any noises from next door (in fairness everyone respects the 'no late night noise' rule anyway, which makes it so lovely and peaceful for families with young children trying to sleep) We could Chromecast to the television at night which was perfect for watching movies! Fully equipped kitchen perfect for cooking if you choose to stay in a night, but plenty of hotel/pub grub locally to choose from and a good take away nearby. The hosts live on site so they are always just a text message away, very friendly and more than willing to help out with any requirements. And it is a perfect location to sightsee the main attractions, the cliffs of moher, the burren, the alawee caves, lahinch beach and bunratty castle .

You really do need a car as it's quite a remote spot but I'm sure anyone booking here will be driving anyway, otherwise it is genuinely a flawless holiday spot!

Quilty Cottages Family Mini Break

The location was beautiful. The cottage was perfect, larger than I expected, comfortable and clean. The family owners were very attentive, friendly, and helpful. It was a great location to visit Cliffs of Moher, Loophead Lighthouse, Spanish point & Lahinch beaches. The onsite pool was a real bonus after a day out site seeing. We would highly recommend Quilty Cottages for families (& pet!) 5☆

Unfortunately it's not possible to walk to a shop, restaurant or pub. They are close by, but a car is necessary due to the location.

Really enjoyed our stay

It was lovely to find a place to bring our dog. The cottage was ideal for pets with easy to clean surfaces throughout but still comfortable furniture, like leather sofas. Lovely grassy area & picnic bench with each cottage makes it very practical with a dog. The hosts were lovely, giving us an upgrade to a bigger cottage with better sea view (off peak season) and messaging from time to time to see if we needed anything while respecting your privacy. If you're looking to stay in place with your dog & spend time exploring all the natural beauty of Co. Clare, this is a place for you. Multiple beautiful beaches, big & small within a short drive, as well as amazing cliff walks, sights & scenic drives. There is also an indoor heated pool (which was a feature that drew us & we used) and a tennis court & playground which we didn't use but are nice facilities.

For 2 people, it's a pricier stay than other places but that was our choice & it's not so easy to find dog friendly accommodation. If you use the full capacity of 6 people, it's a cost effective option. The cottage was clean overall, but some stained teatowels made it unclear if they were clean or meant to be there. Washing machine & dryer made it handy to wash them just in case. Recommend bringing washing powder, hand towels, dish cloths & kitchen roll. I noticed that the cottage did provide washing up liquid & dishwasher tablets, which was nice though we didn't use them (first time in self-catering, so no sure what is typical).

Rural Location in the West of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way. Rugged, beautiful landscapes, close to Quilty Village and Spanish Point less than 1km away, close to Miltown Malbay, Lahinch.

the owners were very friendly and there was very good communication if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend

the cottages were very well laid out and absolutely clean. we got bumped upto a sea view and it was gorgeous. fully equipped kitchen and all appliances were working and in good condition. had no problem with hot water for showers. the kids thoroughly enjoyed the indoor heated pool and playground. pool was clean and very well maintained. enjoyed my stay there and would definitely go back.

Loved the location, the views were amzing, the property was clean and comfortable had everything we needed, the pool was an added bonus,

The TV was very small but that was only a very minor thing, also there was other families staying there, we came home on the 1st night and there was about 10 kids outside the back door if our house, and on Sunday morning I opened the curtains in my bedroom and there was 2 boys standing outside the window, I think there should be more separation of the gardens as even though they were only kids there was also adults passing back and forth outside the back windows

The location is ideal as a base as many tourist attractions are within a short car ride. The houses themselves are nice and warm, spotless and well spaced out so plenty of privacy. The heated pool on site was invaluable for us as a group of 17 (8 adults, 9 kids).

The only small issue was there was no wifi but we managed fine without it!
