About this house rental

2 bed 1 bath cozy cabin on the Kings River just 1/2 mile down stream of Marshall Ford with over 1000 feet of river frontage access. Put in at the Ford and enjoy a leisurely float and catch dinner or put in at Marble and avoid the traffic at the Ford as you float on by and get out below your own cabin at the end of a long day.
All new furnishings with a king size bed in the loft and two twin beds in the downstairs bedroom as well as a large futon and couch in living room.
Secluded setting to enjoy from spacious front and back porches while barbecuing or relaxing in the recliners watching the river go by.
Equipped with a large fireplace, as well as refrigerator, stove, microwave and hotel type air conditioning. Also kitchen utensils and tableware provided. We didn’t forget the coffee maker either!
If you are looking to catch some smallmouth, float the river or just enjoy the peacefulness of the Ozarks, this spot is for you! Located a quick 10 minutes from the Huntsville wal-mart, 30 minuets from Eureka Springs, 50 minuets from Feyetteville and an hour from Branson.

It’s also just about 15 minutes from Huntsville, which makes it super convenient while still feeling like a getaway. We love the peaceful atmosphere and can’t wait to come back again. This cabin was perfect for our family get away! The river was beautiful and a great way to cool off in the summer heat! Long evenings on the front deck watching the lightning bugs, spending time with family , bbq and eating s'mores! And the amazing views on the back deck while enjoying your morning coffee! It was just like discribed.V Very secluded and private with everything you need but your food and drink. We were going to go sight seeing but the property was so beautiful that we decided to just stay on the back porch and cook steaks. Had an excellent time just me and my wife on our anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. It was well stocked and has comfortable beds and couches. It is so peaceful and private with a beautiful view. The river access is a little bit of a walk(much quicker by 4wd truck) but is well worth it when you get to the riverbank. My family is already planning on going back. Thank you.

My family enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We enjoy the outdoors and the river was not a far walk down the hill. Every afternoon my teenage son went down to the river to fish, having luck of catching some smallmouth bass, gar, and sunfish. If you want to get away from the city life this is a great place to take a break and unwind.

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute in this peaceful and serene cabin. Our adventure included the War Eagle Caverns, hiking the King’s River Overlook, kayaking, and grilling with friends. You couldn’t ask for a better host or getaway. -Remember to disconnect because phones and internet are not an option! Truly peaceful.

Very private and secluded, easy to find. Very nice host. Loved the rustic cabin, porch and deck. Could see the River from back covered porch. River was low at this area when we visited and is upper section, not floatable for canoeing at the time of our visit. Able to drive to river access/outfitter approximately 40 minutes away.

Checking in was smooth. Up all night the second night scared to death till we figured out about 3am it was a shutter banging our window. As women traveling alone this absolutely was terrifying, we weren’t sure if it was a bear or a man trying to get in. No parking and filling springs in both twin mattress made for a bad vacation.

Our stay in the cabin in Arkansas was outstanding. Very unique cabin, with custom construction. Our family enjoyed the experience in Madison Co and surrounding southern part of the Ozarks. The hike at a nearby state park was challenging and rewarding with beautiful landscape and quality trails. Matt and his wife have a great set of cabins. We recommend!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway to the Ozarks, and our stay at this cabin was one of the highlights. With an unexpectedly frigid weather system moving in for our stay, Matt was super helpful in making sure we were comfortable and cozy, even with several days of low temps in the teens! We enjoyed our nights and mornings by the fireplace and also enjoyed the solitude of the country and riverside scenery. Getting to meet Matt, the dogs, horses, and even the cute little pigs running through the yard made the cabin feel like much more than just a place to stay. We had a wonderful time and we’re already looking forward to going back!!

My boyfriend and I so enjoyed our time here. He was a little hesitant as there was no Wi-Fi/internet (my fault, not the hosts) but we did have cell service so he was fine with that. Such a nice place to unwind and relax next to the fire. My only suggestions to fellow travelers is pack your own cutlery if you are planning on having steaks/chops on the grill and prepare oneself for the shower. The shower only has a plastic liner which would be fine if the liner actually reached the base of the shower and we weren’t getting water every where. The bed upstairs (we only slept in that one) was super duper comfy and we both slept super well. The fireplace is picturesque and warmed the whole cabin.

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Away from everything, but close enough to anything we wanted to do. Sitting outside on the deck the only thing you can hear is the wildlife and crackle of the fire. The easily accessible river was very nice. Absolutely beautiful cabin!

We did not realize how isolated this cabin is or we would have stayed somewhere else. The 1000’ of river frontage access is a little misleading as getting to the river is not easy. We did walk the creek which was nice. It would be nice to have some of the trees or brush cleared to have a better view from the back porch. It was a little surprising to find a bucket of cigarette butts on the back porch upon arrival. Overall, the place could be cleaner. It needs a thorough cleaning under beds, the oven needs to be cleaned. There was a hair in the fridge. The shower curtain is too short and the water leaks on the floor. Eventually, this will pose a problem for the owners because the floor will need replacing. The bedroom with the twin beds doesn’t have air conditioning but there was a fan under one of the beds that I brought outside and dusted. It helped keep the room cool as long as the bedroom door was open. The cabin has potential but was disappointing in many ways.

We booked this cabin, but ended up getting to start our vacation two days early. The cabin we originally booked was not available for our extra days, but Matt suggested we revise our reservation and stay at the other cabin on the property which is "Custom Craftsman". We agreed to make the change in cabins and could not have been happier. The Custom Craftsman is absolutely beautiful and the story behind the cabin is very impressive. The cabin had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay away from home. The river is close enough to walk to and spend the day fishing or playing in the water. However, most of our time was spent on the back porch relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet and the beauty of nature surrounding the cabins. I highly recommend staying at either of these cabins and can not wait for our next visit. You couldn't ask for a better host than Matt he made every effort to assure our stay was perfect.

We loved spending our weekend at this cabin. The cabin was very clean and well stocked for cooking/eating, and the beds were all very comfortable. The views and location can’t be beat, right on the river and close to trails and Eureka Springs. We enjoyed floating around all day and exploring! Cell service was limited but that’s what we were hoping for, a weekend free from phones 😁
