In Cantabria, ten kilometers from Santander, beautiful country house of 80 m2, located in a large private estate of 5,000 square meters considered by landscape designers and gardening professionals as an example of beauty and harmony.
Fully integrated into the landscape, its style reminds us of the American architecture of the early S. XX whose greatest exponent is the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It has all the comforts for a happy stay; fireplace in the living room, well-equipped and bright kitchen, rooms with large windows and beautiful views, and a dream bathroom with Jacuzzi and separate shower. Everything is in perfect state of order and cleanliness. In a simple and friendly style, its large windows and skylights perfectly connect the house with the outside, bringing nature to the interior of the house. The environment and the building become one thing, and the trees become elements that are in harmony with the interior space in which we live. It is what has been defined as Organic Architecture. THE HOUSE consists of: two rooms, a living room with sofa bed for two people, fireplace, television, stereo and beautiful views of the well-kept English garden; a bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with two single beds that can be put together to make a large bed, both with views of the estate. Dressing room, bathroom, TV, DVD and music. LA FINCA, private and reserved for the exclusive use of the traveler, 5000 square meters in length, has a wonderful garden with its own native forest, hundreds of trees, more than 60 different varieties, flowers, rocks, fruit trees, a cave, bucolic and intimate corners, barbecue, two outdoor dining rooms with tables, garden shower and sun loungers. The entrance to the farm is through a private mall that gives way to parking for several cars and to the house.

The house was full of character with a big, beautiful garden that Sol and Luis are very proud of. Sol was very helpful and gave us recommendations for restaurants and where to watch the Euro 2024 final in Santander. Luis and Sol live nearby but were very discreet.

The cottage is great, fully equipped and the furnishings provide everything needed (and more) for a comfortable stay. From everything needed for good cooking to relaxed breakfasts and lunches. From being able to stay comfortably in less weather, to lounging in an incredibly beautiful, spacious and sheltered garden!!! The silence is deafening, with cows and donkeys telling you that you live in civilization.
In short, a place that offers you a home on vacation!
Within a travel distance of an hour you will find great places like Bilbao, Santander (15min) with a wide variety of museums, topped by the Guggenheim (Bilbao) and Botin (Santander). Beautiful walks (used Komoot, or WikiLoc), along the coast (fantastic cliffs, views and hidden beaches), into the mountains, or just for exploring a city.
The host has been a super-host for us! Advises you in all sorts of things and not least in good restaurants, not letting the appearance of the restaurant guide you!
Be surprised - in our opinion very positively - and enjoy!!!

We found a little paradise! Welcomed by the incredibly friendly hosts (Sol is fluent in German and English. Spanish, of course, too) we were shown around the beautiful house and the magnificent garden. The place is well equipped with everything a tenant needs, outstandingly clean and well looked after.
It is almost ideally situated some 15-20 Minutes outside Santander, beaches are also a 15 min drive away. All shopping is available nearby and accessible by car.
The owner did a great job in supporting us with local tips and general advice on locations to visit.
As some other holiday makers have stated before us, applying mosquito nets would be a worthwhile improvement.
Altogether: highly recommended from a family of 4 with a big dog.
