Apartamentos Alday

The location was well accessible near the airport, railway and bus stations. Private parking was available in the underground garage. Public parking spaces were available nearby for free as well. The area was quiet and very nice to stay. The free access to property open-air swimming pool was included. Shopping was within 10 minute walk distance. Access to El Camello Beach and Playa de la Magdalena beach took 15 minutes by car with good parking opportunities. Communication with host was great, both English and Spanish. Kiosk was available for automated late night check-in. The elevator was operational. Windows and small balcony provided nice views at surrounding areas. There was comfortable parquet floor in the apartment. There were two bedrooms and two separate toilets, one with bidet and shower. Wifi, flat screen TV, shower, two bathrooms and kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave and washing machine were working great. The kitchen was well provided with kitchenware. Bathroom was equipped with free toiletries and towels.

It would be great to add button "Reuse address and contact details" into Kiosk, when performing check-in for multiple guests. We were initially surprised by lack of air-conditioning but we managed well without it. Looks like it's not needed for Santander climate in August.

Cleanness, well-organized management , reserved parking, conforty

In the description, it was defined as a penthouse, which I couldn’t consider accurate. It was on the top floor, but it wasn’t really a penthouse—just an attic-style apartment, without a large balcony and lacking sufficient sunlight.

Spacious, clean and comfortable

Check in was a nightmare. Instructions came in Spanish which we had to translate. Confusing as to where reception was, which block to go to, checking in at machine we didn’t see UK translation so did whole thing trying to decipher Spanish. Very stressful.

The lift was not working. We arrived a 3pm and could not book in until 4pm, for no apparent reason.
