About this apartment rental
Ten minutes from the sea, in a village stopped in time. Large multi-level apartment completely renovated in 2014 with two panoramic terraces. On the ground floor private entrance. On the first floor there is a large living room, two double bedrooms (DOUBLE BEDS CANNOT BE SEPARATED AND CANNOT BECOME SINGLE BEDS) and two bathrooms. Upstairs a bedroom with a single bed that can become a double (but not two singles), a mezzanine dining area, a panoramic kitchen and a terrace with table and chairs, which leads to a turret with a 360 degree view.
BEING MULTIPLE FLOORS WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAIRS, IT IS VERY NOT ADVISABLE FOR SMALL CHILDREN.
ANIMALS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
PLEASE, home WI-FI internet is NOT UNLIMITED. It is only used for mail, whatsapp and social networks, but not for watching movies, videos or TV.
As for the parking lots, coming from Marciana Marina, there is one free just before arriving in Poggio. Continuing a little further on another parking half free and half blue stripes for a fee (8.00-20.00 at 1 euro / hour). Continuing the road just before our house there is another free parking. Otherwise you can park along the road that from our house continues towards Marciana Alta.
The closest beach is in Marciana Marina and, from there, there are numerous others along the road to Procchio. On the other side, passing Poggio towards Marciana Alta, the closest is Sant'Andrea.
To go up from Marciana Marina to Poggio, there are 5 km of road with a few curves but still quite comfortable.

We stayed in Poggio in this wonderful apartment for about 10 days. The house is comfortable and looks out of a fairy tail. Sweeping views from nearly every window and 3 separate bedrooms . Great surprise was that there are actually 2 bathrooms (one spacious and with window too, a second located in the master bedroom). The ad says only 1 bathroom which should be corrected . The location is amazing, steps from cafe la dolce vita, nearly always open for breakfast , lunch , or dinner. There are also a baker for fresh bread every morning (closes at 9-10am), and a fruit truck near the cafe also every morning. Two restaurants are also open for lunch or dinner (more pricey but very good) . At 200 yards there is the Napoleone spring water to fill up your bottles. Short drive to Marciana, another beautiful town with more restaurants and sites to visit (and other services like pharmacy and a small but well stocked grocery store- open 8-1pm and 5-8pm about). Parking in Poggio is slightly tricky but we never had a problem. About 20-40 minutes driving from Poggio we reached numerous beautiful beaches . We visited the beaches of Procchio, Lacona (our favorite), Cavoli, Sant’Andrea (too hard to park there), Relitto (my kids favorite), Innamorata...5 minutes from
Poggio we took the cabinovia to Monte capanne and walked back , and that was wonderful . The house owner, Carlotta, is very kind and communicative and accommodated several of our requests (we are a family of 6 from San Diego). We are still talking about this amazingly beautiful house and we can’t wait to go back .

Eine sehr schöne stilvoll eingerichtete und großzügige Wohnung, geeignet für 3 Paare oder eine Familie mit älteren Kindern. Carlotta ist eine freundliche Vermieterin, die alle Fragen zeitnah beantwortet und immer erreichbar ist.
Poggio ist ein nettes Dorf in den Bergen, es geht immer ein kleiner Wind, daher sind sommerliche Temperaturen gut aushaltbar.
