Great place to stay, just ideal, so close to Azay-le-Rideau. Boulangerie a minute walk, a little bar across the road. The house is larger than it looks in the photos, had everything we needed. Recommend staying here. No wi-fi but thats fine. Road works at the moment in the village, so tricky to get in and out of village. Would stay again we liked it that much.

The cottage is very tastefully presented and the accommodation easy to use; the little garden is charming. The downside is the attention to detail on maintenance and cleaning. The windows weren’t clean and the bathroom Velux looked like it hadn’t ever been cleaned. One bedroom window blind wouldn’t work. The shower glass and cubicle wasn’t clean to the level we would expect. The cooker hob is ceramic and doesn’t produce much heat even on full. The property does not have Wifi, which was probably listed correctly, but the lack of mobile signal strength makes doing anything online a bit of a pain. And we weren’t warned about the major sanitation roadworks which were ongoing almost directly outside - this would have been good at least to have understood in advance.

On arrival we found that parking was very tight, and during the stay, often unavailable. Fridge needs a deep clean and the more inaccesible places(behind toilet etc.) a hoovering. Cooking utensils are a bit tired, but useable. Be aware there are no instruction manuals for oven, microwave, fridge. The provision of a can opener would have been very useful As mentioned in earler comments, the settee is not too comfortable and mind your toes on the metal base at the foot of the stairs It would have been nice to watch some of the dvd library, if there had been a dvd player available. The property is ideally situated for the many, many Chateaux in the area. Indeed, after a week we were "all Chateau'd out" The owners were easily contactable and very amenable. All in all a very pleasant stay in a nice little cottage

A nice two-bedroom, two-storey apartment with a lot of character. There's a cute stone-walled garden to enjoy your meals or an apéro in the evening. Overall, the accommodation is well appointed with all the basic needs. Some of the salon furniture is getting "tired" and not fully comfortable but the mattresses are good, which is more important. A minor caution is the stairwell steel stringer which extends beyond the first bottom step; if walking without shoes beware! Also, there did not appear to be any smoke detector(s), which is listed as a safety feature in the VRBO advertisement. But I would definitely consider renting again.

La location a beaucoup de charme, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. C'est très propre, calme et très proche du centre ville. L'accueil est très chaleureux. Notre sympathique hôte nous a fourni de très bons conseils de visites (et de recommandations de commerces : très utiles !) Sans faire trop de km, nous pouvons visiter des châteaux et jardins merveilleux, tels ceux d' Azay (même bâché !), de Villandry, L'islette, Saché .... et faire de bonnes révisions de notre histoire de France ! Nous recommandons cette location

Un ancien hangar qui garde son charme avec les pierres et rénové de façon exquise (escalier magnifique). A notre arrivée, une splendide odeur de glycines nous souhaite la bienvenue. L'agencement est fonctionnel, la petite cour intérieur est un vrai jardin d'Eden pour les petits déjeuners, la literie est très bien (pas de mal au dos, ce qui est assez rare de nos jours), les couettes & oreillers sont neufs. La salle de douche est lumineuse et très agréable (grande douche) !! Ce gite est à conseiller vivement car il est situé à deux pas des commerces de proximité (boulangerie, pharmacie, café-journeaux ....) et proche d'Azay le rideau (10 minutes à pied). Le propreté de ce gite est également à souligner !! Et pour finir, l'accueil de Murielle est chaleureux et bienveillant à notre arrivée & à notre départ.

Prima verblijfplaats om kastelen aan de Loire te bezoeken, maar ook om langs de Loire en zijrivieren te fietsen. Het huisje ligt in een smalle straat en heeft een kleine tuin. Azay-le-Rideau (leuk dorpje met veel eetgelegenheden) en kasteel liggen op minder dan 10 min lopen. De bakker is om de hoek (1 min). Het huisje is erg praktisch en compleet ingericht, maar was bij onze aankomst behoorlijk stoffig. De sleutelhoudster, mevr. F., is vriendelijk.
