Fantastic vineyard get-away

Such a fabulous location right in the middle of vineyards. The common room /breakfast area was warm and inviting-free coffee,tea and fruits were available when we arrived in the evening. The beds were very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting at the winery (down the hill) as well! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back and stay longer.

I am very happy with Castel de Daval. We were met by the owner of the hotel, who was extremely friendly; the rooms were very comfortable; and the view overseeing the vineyards was spectacular. I highly recommend it!

wonderful stay at the castle

the castle is set in a wonderful wineyard, with the stunning landscape of Wallis Alps surrounding it. the hosts are extremely kind and helpful and the breakfast is delicious! i hope it is gonna be available again when we come back for another ski trip

Fantastic location, and the family were great hosts. Attention to detail was fantastic, and the passion to cultivate delicious produce shines through. Loved the effort put in the breakfast and the generous wine tasting, not to forget the great information and experience on the vineyard and orchards !

What a find! We'll definitely be back.

Stunning location in the middle of a vineyard. Lovely, spacious room with very comfortable bed, everything was spotless. Incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. Great vibe and their own wine was delicious, too bad we were traveling with hand luggage and couldn't bring a few bottles back with us. Breakfast selection was basic but well presented and cozy. Hotel only has 5 rooms, would be a great place group getaway or dreamy for a small wedding. Parking available on the property. On the manager's recommendation we had a fabulous dinner in Sierre which is only a few minutes' drive. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Enjoyed everything about the hotel and our stay which sadly was too short. Would have loved the opportunity to explore the vineyard and lounge around the outside garden. As with most places in the area, not everybody speaks English (though most do speak German) but they are always so gracious and find a way to communicate. Very minor comment: the door to the WC in the room is glass and see-through. Not a drawback in and of itself but I would rather not be able to make eye contact with anyone while using the facilities :-)

Architecturally interesting property set in vineyards.

Great relaxed visit with a wine tasting thrown into the deal. The continental breakfast was of high quality. The views are amazing - the property is in amongst vineyards and orchards. There is no restaraunt, but there are multiple options within an easy 15 minute walk. Several options for 'home delivery' if your French is good enough! I thoroughly recommend this property for a visit if you are passing anywhere near Sierre. Worth a detour if you aren't planning to!

Very enjoyable!

Breakfast buffet was excellent with cheese, dried meats, different breads, jams, honey and cereal to choose from. Location in the middle of a vineyard was great, not too far from the town with restaurants (although most were closed on Sunday evening).

We stayed in the tower room, which was great, but it is not handicap accessible. Not a problem for us, but there was no warning ahead of time, so some people may get a shock having to climb two narrow stairs with luggage.
