the quietness, the location, The size of the house, the cleanliness, the proximity to great nature sites and beaches
Though not major its no fun when the bath and sink fittings come loose and fall off while trying to bathe; bathroom and kitchen taps fittings need attention. The sink taps in the en suite and bathroom need to be fixed: it takes ages and lots of turning before the water comes out, its a real nuisance. Windows, several of these large double glazed heavy windows have dodgy mechanisms: because they're old I suppose: the bedroom window could not be left partially and safely open at night -not to be able to avail of the fresh air was definitively a negative though it wouldn't stop me coming back as the house is otherwise in good order. One of the windows in the sun room doesn't open at all so when hot it gets stuffy. The ones in the dining lounge are sticky, only one opens properly I didn't like that the log box was empty and the big stack of logs were left out in the rain so too wet to burn. Although a basket of logs was provided inside the lounge, it was only enough for one fire and I was here for a fourteen day stay; It would have been great if the outside log box by the rear door would have been filled to give access to dry logs instead of having to drive the village for dry logs because the big pile at the side of the shed was too wet to burn. We had an amazing 7-night family stay at the cottage in creeslough view, Donegal. There were 9 of us, and the cottage was incredibly cozy and well-equipped for our group. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to plenty of attractions for the kids. We hope to return again soon!

Excellent location.
Road down to the cottage is quite rough.
