Wonderful 2 weeks

Lovely little cottage 2 minute walk to Falcarragh shops, cafes, pubs and takeaways. 2 separate living areas, one with lounge and fire, the other part kitchen dining area. Rest of kitchen is like a butlers pantry in another room. Views from the dining area with the summer sunsets are absolutely beautiful if the weather is playing nice. We only met the host once who even offered to dry our clothes if needed and anything else needed. We enjoyed the privacy of the cottage to come and go as we pleased. There were only 2 of us. But the cottage would even suit two couples, friends or family with the 2 queen beds. Bathroom has shower only now, fresh and new. We stayed here almost 2 weeks and found it very central for all our touring and adventures. The Falcarragh beach is absolutely beautiful for late night summer walks when the sun does not set until 10pm. You can walk the few kms to get there, or drive a few minutes to start at beach.

Took me a while to figure out how to use the washing machine, but the manual was just behind the door. Wasn't cold enough to have the lovely open fire going at night!

The outside isn't secure for a dog, this would be easy to do, there is a busy road outside... There were no instructions for the heating, cooker, WiFi.. Matress in the main room could be better...

Great value, location, and amenities

The location was fab 10mins to drive to magnificent beach. There is a local surf camp and lessons Lots of take out food options, 2 shops cope and centra, chemist, bank , 2 petrol stations, hairdressers , beautician and mobile fresh fish van . 20mins to Dunfanaghy again lovely beach and shops. The house has two bedrooms and brand new bathroom walk in shower (no bath) new cooker and washing machine . Fridge with small freezer , loads of crockery and all the cooking utensils , iron and ironing board , hairdryer, tv and what looks liked a tennis net and poles we didn’t use. The hall , bathroom and kitchen all tiled which was fantastic as we brought our 2 dogs a small back garden which was not enclosed but our dogs aren’t ones to escape. The decorations was a little old fashion but very clean and functional for a holiday let

I needed a Hoover as my dogs loved bringing half the beach back with them

The cottage was spotless. Great evidence of COVID management. It was well equipped with all the necessary things required for self catering break. The cottage is well situated in close proximity to a beautiful beach errigal mountain and Dunfanaghy within easy driving distance.

Le cottage est très propre et très coquet, avec une décoration soignée et vintage. La literie était très confortable. Très bien équipé. Salle de bain neuve avec douche. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Aus der Zeit gefallen, aber charmant

Das Ferienhaus hat einen recht speziellen Charme. Alles wirkt ein bisschen aus der Zeit gefallen und zusammengewürfelt. Es ist viel Platz und ziemlich alles da, was man braucht. Richtig gemütlich ist der Kamin im Wohnzimmer. Als ich da war, war es ziemlich kalt draußen und die Abende am Kamin waren sehr schön.

Alles wirkt ein bisschen wie „geerbt und so belassen“. Diesen Charme muss man schon mögen. Modern ist das ganz als sicher nicht.
