The Merchant's House

The Merchant House was brilliantly located in the town centre close to amenities. The house was charming, warm and welcoming. I had to book the house at short notice and the price for the house was very reasonable. The host was very helpful and I appreciated being able to contact him when I had questions.

Just a little thing but the lack of curtains in the smaller room made it difficult to sleep in that room.

We really enjoyed our stay here over Christmas for a week. Paul and his family were great, it was so lovely to meet and chat with them. Paul showed us around the property and was available for any questions we had. He had a lovely Christmas tree and electric candles in the windows which really added to the Christmas cheer. The log burning fire was lovely to see and made the living room very warm and cosy. There was an electric blanket on in Master bedroom and central heating in all the rooms. The decor, furniture and paintings made it feel like we were stepping back in time and were very elegant. The kitchen had all the amenities required to make it feel like 'home away from home'. The property is right in the centre of Kilrush and we had a lovely time exploring close by areas. We were very happy with our stay.

The wifi worked better in some rooms than others, but this wasn't a problem for us.

L'emplacement est très calme dans Kilrush et proche des commerces. La situation géographique permet de visiter le Loop of the Head avec ses falaises, le Burren, les falaises de Moher et de traverser avec le ferry pour aller découvrir le Kerry.
