This apartment was a gem. It was in the heart of the city but there was no noise. It is not easy to find but Tonkica was a very responsive host and kindly let us leave our bags in the apartment before check in. There was absolutely everything we needed in the apartment from both appliances and consumables. It felt like home from home. After 7 nights on a boat, it was lovely to have lots of space. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Split.
Coming from South Africa, I'm not sure I would walk down the alleyway to the apartment on my own but I think that it is perfectly safe to do in Croatia. We never felt unsafe.
