Comfortable family run hotel in a great location!

The location near the beach was outstanding! The breakfast area was very bright and inviting with a large assortment of items, warm eggs and bacon on request. Dogs allowed! The rooms were comfortable with great views of the beach. Off site parking for a fee on the street or free if you walked a few blocks. Felt very safe everywhere. Rooms could use a refresh. Family operated!

Beach life (when the weather’s good!)

Views over the beach - could not be more central, at the centre of the main promenade. At the coast tram stop - so easy to use public transport. Very clean and very nice breakfast.

No direct parking (as on main promenade) - but staff very helpful in explaining the rather complicated colour system for parking. Easy to stop for 1/2 hour on Main Street around the corner from hotel to transfer luggage - then free parking 10 minutes walk away - never used the car during stay so no problem!

Superb

Friendly staff, excellent location, spacious apartment for a family of five, with view to the sea, which is an achievement since the hotel is located on the main square. Going for a demonstration of shrimp fishing is an absolute must. Be it by fisherman on foot or on horseback, it all starts at the waterline just in front of the hotel's square. It is exotic, and it is fun for kids as, they can run around to save little crabs and baby sole fish from the seagulls as the fishermen discard them.

The location can be quite loud, there was a beach disco on Friday night (but not on Saturday). With windows closed it was OK, but since there is no air-conditioning, keeping them closed at night during hot days may not be an option. At breakfast, do not hesitate to ask for scrambled or fried eggs because they were not offered proactively, at least to us.

We would love to return!

Would recommend!

The stay was very pleasant check in went very smooth. We got a very good explanation of how to get in. Dogs were allowed even at the breakfast table and the people were very nice. The room was also clean and free water was provided at the entrance but you had to bring your own bottle. Overall it was really nice and would recommend it! Also the breakfast was outstanding!

The room was a bit hot and there was no airco.

Goede loactie die in grote lijnen voldeed aan onze behoeften

We zochten een verblijf voor 2 nachten nabij de trouwfeest locatie van onze vrienden, in een gelegenheid op de Zeedijk. De locatie was voor ons ideaal aangezien we slechts 1 minuut moesten stappen om onze bestemming te bereiken. De betaalgarage onder de Zeedijk, aan €25 per nacht, was ook zeker een meerwaarde.

Het feit dat de lift klein was en vaak in gebruik door het dienstpersoneel en dat er geen airco was op de kamer. Gelukkig was het niet bloedheet en hebben we er geen hinder van ondervonden. Er staat een flesje water in de frigo bij aankomst. Leuke geste, maar als je met 2 personen bent komt het ietwat goedkoop over. Er was een bad met een douchegordijn. Geen al te grote fan van een gordijn, een wand is veel hygiënischer. Het feit dat het gordijn onderaan ook nog eens helemaal geel aangeslagen was, versterkte het onprettige gevoel alleen maar.
