Walk to downtown area was just ten minutes. Entry door code was convenient. Room/suite was large, basic and comfortable with double and 2 single beds, sitting area, kitchen, bathroom with shower. Breakfast was good with good selection, communal table allowed intercourse with other guests, (8 during our visit). Guesthouse hosts were friendly, down to earth and helpful. Property was old but was renovated well.
Car Parking close by was a problem. Visit was out of season and city not lively nor very touristy. On flight path for adjacent airport.

The hosts were very nice, gave lots of tips about where to visit, how to go there, restaurants, etc. Leonardo even booked our trip to to watch whales and dolphins, and we had a discount. Very close to city center and with free parking.

The guesthouse is very close to both the airport and the main city attractions, We rented the "family room" for our party of 2 adults and 2 children and found it was perfect for our needs. Our gracious host Leonardo makes a delicious breakfast and even offered us one to take with us to the airport the morning of our early flight out of Ponta Delgada. There are earplugs provided because of the noise of the flights, but we didn't need them.
There were only two chairs in our apartment's dining area.
