Santa Luzia Apartment

Apartment is in a good location. Pretty local park a few minutes away. About 15 minute walk into the old town - bit longer on the way back as uphill. Spacious for 2 or 3 people. Sea view from living and bedroom plus balcony. Comes with parking space which was very useful as we hired a car. José our host was very accommodating.

Nothing negative to say about the apartment

Location was good -a 15 minute walk to the centre of Funchal (but it was an uphill walk on the way back). A lovely park is nearby. Appartment is spacious. Bed is comfy and big. The sofa in the living room is alao comfotable.

A shelf in the bathroom above the sink would have been handy. One or two hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes. Otherwise it was a v. nice appartment.

Everything was great. Hosts were in contact with us pre-arrival and made the checking in process smooth and easy, although our fligh arrived late after midnight. The apartment was spacious, clean and had all the facilities we needed.

Things that could be improved are not many or they are conditioned by the place and space of the building in the neighbourhood. There is actually nothing to say that was not to our liking.

Private parking spot was very convenient. The kitchen is well-equipped. We appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine.

Furniture - a mismatched mix of modern and very outdated pieces. We booked this specifically for three separate beds (as pictured). On arrival, two were pushed together with no extra sheets or duvets. It took two requests and until the next evening to get the extra bedding. The living room door has clear glass panels (annoying at night when someone turns on the light in another room), and the lighting in that room is too dim at night (burned out light bulbs). There is mold in the bathroom. Street noise is loud, especially dogs barking at all hours. The portal states a 12:00 check-out, but we were messaged and told to leave by 11:00.
