Ducado - Fincas Arena

Location was excellent. was close to the main strip without it being too loud. sea view was very nice as was distance to the beach. Good selection of bars/restaurants in the vicinity. A largeish supermarket was just around the corner so I could buy provisions esp for breakfast. I particularly liked the little package containing a scrubbing pad, washing machine detergent, washing up liquid and a cloth. The bathroom was well laid out with the toilet having planty of space to use. I've been in some places where the toilet is squeezed into a corner and is very tight and uncomfortable for the larger person to use. I was surprised to see the washing machine in the bathroom. Plenty of electrical outputs all over the apartment.

The main thing I didnt like was the distance that I had to walk from my drop off point outside the apartment block all the way along mediterraneo and quite a way up Europa to get the keys and also having to wait 3 hours after drop off until the reception opened so that I could get the keys, especially as I selected to pay the extra 20 euros, on line, to have someone meet me there with them and was refused. However, this could have been due to the time I requested that service. I had to get a taxi back afterwards. The rest were small niggles. There was no light in the main bedroom but that wasnt too much of a problem as I was out most of the time so I didnt bother ringing reception to have that resolved. The lift to my floor (floor 8) wasnt working on a couple of days. It got cold on monday and the electric heater that was stored in the wardrobe was not working. Found out the week before that the pool was not open during my stay, the advert on Booking.com does not say that it is seasonal, however, people were sunbating around the pool but I didnt see anyone swimming in it. It didnt bother me but the beds were the type that you could fold up into the wardrobe to create extra room in the bedroom which made them a bit higher than I would usually like.

Location was great. Basic but clean and ideal for my break.

location is brill overlooking the sea to the front, if you open the patio windows, the rear of the apt block is the swimming pool which backs onto the strip ! the fob key allows you to use the car park, if req, or to gain entry op california bar on the strip.

the apt didnt have a bath mat slipping when exiting the shower ! no kitchen tea towel only kitchen, the slats on one of the twin beds were broken, had to do repairs. the location is great but a little attension to detail req.
