    Great stay at the Mira Kyoto. Clean rooms, great location and helpfull staff. Rooms are very small but made due.

    Room was clean and nicely arranged. Bed was large and there was a nice sofa and small desk. Unfortunately, absolutely no storage space whatsoever. No closet, and not a single drawer to store anything. I'm not sure how they expect anyone to organize their belongings in a situation like this. A couple of coat hangers were available but hung along the wall, not away in a closet. I'm not a fan of putting my clothing on the floor or hung up on a wall. Also, no view. There was a large window but it was frosted. Couldn't see a thing. Though the shower was small, it was nicely arranged. Shower water pressure was perfect, but there was almost no water coming out of the bathroom sink. I had to use the bath faucet instead. My biggest issue was with the air quality in the room. Though the air conditioner kept it cool, humidity was extremely high. I changed the air conditioner setting to "Dry" and this helped a little but it was extremely uncomfortable most days, especially while sleeping. And even though I hung my clothes at night, the following day they still felt damp. Then on my last day, I discovered the reason. Because of the lack of storage I was forced to put my clothing on the floor, and it was all wet. The air conditioner was constantly dripping water and made the carpet wet, creating the high humidity. Not to mention my clothing. It was wet as well. Had I found the reason earlier, I would have definitely requested to change rooms. Unfortunately it was too late. I would only recommend this place for a one night stay with one guest due to the lack of storage. The location is quite good, close to Nishiki Market and other stores and restaurants. And transportation is also nearby.
