A lovely 2 night stay in a cosy, yet spacious studio flat

It was in a lovely, secluded and picturesque location with great facilities. It felt very cosy and warm and was a stone's throw from a great local pub which serves delicious food! It was easy enough to drive into Winchester which has loads of shops and restaurants and a beautiful Christmas market.

The shower didn't seem to drain very well and upon closer inspection, we could see that it was clogged up with hair which we had to clean ourselves. The drain doesn't seem big enough for the shower which caused the bathroom floor to be covered in water after every shower. A few areas could do with a deeper clean, including some cobwebs in places but otherwise not too bad.

Great room, nice location but washer did not work.

Great location and decent value. Room was clean and had plenty of space in living area and kitchen. Bathroom somewhat small but worked for us.

We chose the Paddock View because it had a washer & dryer. Unfortunately, the unit malfunctioned and did not work for us. We called the rental agent shown on our voucher and left a message but did not receive a reply or any contact to attempt a fix.

A good bolt-hole from which to explore Winchester for the weekend.

It was very quiet, had dedicated parking and everything we needed for a 2-night stay. Very short walk to a good pub which provided a breakfast and enough options for 2 different evening meals.

There was no welcome pack. Doesn’t have to be much, but it does make all the difference. Being in a roof space with sloping ceiling made it difficult to stand up straight when moving between areas/using the kitchen sink and accessing the paddock side of the bed. Being early August it was extremely hot in the evening. Opening the windows helped but had to keep the lights off so as not to attract moths etc. The wet room shower area was in need of a good clean.

Could be amazing

Easy to find and park. Comfortable bed. Great pub only a few minutes away with nice food. Plenty of space and lovely views. Has everything you need for a longer stay.

It wasn't very clean. Cobwebs in the entryway, stairs hadn't been hoovered. Loo seat broken which gave me the ick. Glasses all smeared. You want to walk in and not think about other people staying before but it's just a bit grotty. Towels are small. It's a shame as it just needs a good clean with a couple more mirrors, more than 3 coat hangers and some general tlc. Either leave coffee pods or don't, just one for two people for two days again just feels so lazy and over looked.

Well worth a visit

Very well presented and comfortable apartment. Bedding was very comfortable. Tea, coffee and milk was supplied, which we were not expecting. Nice size apartment for the two of us. It was very pleasant to have the bedroom window open and listen to the dawn chorus. The Running Horse is well worth a visit and a pleasant walk. We would strongly recommend.

We arrived a little late, in the dark. On the email it said behind "Barclays". I thought this meant a bank, it took a couple of sweeps and by sheer luck I saw the sign on the house drive wall. On the plus side it's a small street so was not going to be too difficult to find

Very good location for visit of Winchester Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral and Old Sarum. Good pub in walking distance. Modern cosy interior, perfect bathroom. Suitable for couple.

A lovely apartment in a pretty village close to Winchester.

The apartment was in a quiet location in a pretty village not far from Winchester. The apartment was super clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of utensils if you wanted to cook. There is a really good pub in the village so you can leave your car parked at the apartment and have a drink! Would recommend or stay here again.

Nice for a short stay but could do with a few little updates

Nice property in a lovely location. Bed was very comfy.

Shower pressure wasn’t great and tv signal was very poor. Also could have benefited from a fan. it was very hot when we went. Could also do with a little refresh. Walls grotty around sink area from food and stuff.

Good

The bed was super comfy although the quilt seemed too small for the bed. Very quiet with no road noise to keep you awake. Perfect location for visiting Winchester.

Apartment requires some TLC, little things such as kettle lid not closing properly. Shower was disappointing with poor water flow. Could do with some updating as Shower floor looks tired. Coffee pods were supplied for machine but no tea bags or milk which was disappointing after a long journey.

Value for money, good location and will book again

We did a two-night stint, and the location was magnificent. Lovely spacious open plan living area with a fully kitted kitchen was a real bonus. Getting to town was an easy 10-minute drive. Views from the living area were gorgeous and relaxing. Would definitely go back

Had no Internet access for the duration of my stay phone calls ignored when trying to get in touch with someone to fix the issue and just got a generic reply about IT looking in to things yet nothing was resolved

Shock!

Dirty kitchen utensils. Food encrusted oven gloves.freezer had meat juice? that thawed and froze? Internet didn't work. Help number not working. Put on silent after ringing for 24hrs. No instructions for coffee machine oven dishwasher.Only surfaces cleaned crumbs on floor no pan to remove. Disheartening.

Peaceful location. Poor communication.

Location was very peaceful. The local pub was very close and very nice. It took about an hour to walk in to Winchester. A taxi cost around £10-12.

Communication with the hosts was very poor. They did not respond to any emails sent prior to our arrival and didn't even acknowledge a voice mail we left them on the first day to let them know the broadband wasn't working. Phone signal wasn't great so broadband was a necessity. On arrival, the property did smell a bit which we think was coming from the bathroom - a spray of air freshener did help alleviate it.

The layout and size of the property was excellent. Plenty of towels and kitchen utensils available to use. Would certainly recommend.

As it was upstairs and there wasn't any shade to the property, it was rather warm during peak summertime. Perhaps a fan could be provided for future guests?

Location nice. Facilities good. Host communication issues.

Location & space.

No shaver point or adapter. Even a note to say bring your own would have resolved this issue. Got blocked in by other guest car, no defined parking spaces. Hob seemed continually go on & off, think may be an issue with the pans & the hob type? Could not get hold of host in mornings re blocked car & know another guest had to leave a message when they too had work commitments & could not lock their front door. Shower tiles could do with a good scrub.

It was very difficult to find in the dark. Barclays is a large White House at the bottom of the hill but the house name had been obscured by the owners bins. Also there was no mirror near a plug socket to dry your hair.
