Convenient, simple and comfortable.

Some milk sachets for the tea/coffee, and a teaspoon to stir in the sugar would have helped.

61 is exactly what is ‘says on the tin’. Adele is a very welcoming host; the Accomodation is basic but clean. Although no official breakfast, she does provide coffee and a little fruit. The bathroom is clean and of good size - it is not ‘ensuite’ and it is downstairs - this would account for the remarkably low price - very suitable for someone who is travelling alone and is happy with a ‘no frills’ overnight stay.

Lots of improvements would be ideal, but it would have cost a lot more! The room was a little crowded and no full length mirror. Would have been nice to have the bathroom on the same level, but impossible given the house layout, but happy to put up with it given the price.

It was cheap, clean, comfortable, basic, but it didn’t cost much, quiet 👍

Good bathroom and the lady owner was lovely

The room and other shared areas were clean and in tact. When I enquired about places nearby to get breakfast, and found they were well away from the property, my host did leave me a croissant and fruit.

The room was very small and cluttered. The ‘double’ bed was the smallest I’ve ever seen. Drawers were full of the owner’s things, so nowhere to unpack. Very short hanging space from an airing rack. Outlook was over built up areas. Most problematical was that the only shared bathroom and toilet were downstairs, and there were other ( male) guests on both nights. Tea and coffee was brewed on the landing, not in the room, and filling the kettle and water jug involved a trip to the bathroom. No milk provided of any kind. Area was built up residential, with no eating options in easy walking distance without a car, especially difficult in bad weather. When I arrived, the host was outside, having locked herself out. I waited while she went to find a neighbour with a ladder who climbed into an upstairs window and let us in. I was then left standing in the hall with my suitcase while she chased after the neighbour to give him a bottle of wine. When she returned, I was asked how old I was and told she had to go in the car to Tesco pharmacy for medication because I was later arriving than I’d estimated ( due to a traffic accident on the motorway) so Boots was shut! Bizzarre.
