It was like staying with family. From the moment I met mick, I knew I'd picked the right place. Home from home. I stayed in the annex for one night waiting for a festival the next day. Travelled from Manchester. Felt at home from the first minute and that means alot especially being solo and female. Everything was provided down to cooking and washing facilities. Knifes forks ect. Clean comfy room. Felt safe. Can't ask for more and a good price. Thankyou so much!!!!

It's no frills. But it doesn't pretend to be. There was nothing I disliked and would happily return.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at #61 while working at the nearby University. Comfy beds, good shower, spotlessly clean, tea & coffee facilities. Ticked all our boxes. Will stay again.

On edge of town but only 15 minute level walk to the city centre. Limited parking (but we went by train in the end)

No TV, shared kitchen wasn't great, shared toilet and shower facilities weren't good, grubby! Very noisy from adjacent room until late at night. Very basic

Great value in Winchester!

Our host went out of her way to make us comfortable, including providing an iron. The value exceeded our expectations for this clean and comfortable room. We could walk to a grocery store and a restaurant. We also walked to Winchester Cathedral (which takes about 20 minutes.)

For an overnight sleep it’s good value for money

Simple small one room with comfortable bed for overnight stay, had wifi, hot water for shower and toilet downstairs. Very friendly owner.

There were body hairs on the mattress cover, not very clean floor in the room, lots of hair in the shower cubical.

A pleasant stay at our Winchester Cottage

The owner of this lovely establishment, Adele, offered so much more than we anticipated. We booked a twin room with a shared bathroom and were provided a separate cottage with a well-appointed kitchenette including a dining area, a spacious bathroom with a large shower and our roomy bedroom with plenty of storage and extra blankets (though not needed). A second bedroom was in the cottage though Adele only books rooms in the cottage to same genders since a bathroom is shared ~ very thoughtful ! Coffee and tea was available in the kitchen. Outside the cottage was a private terrace with seating and a clothesline was provided. The establishment was about a 25 minute walk from the Cathedral as was the railway station along pleasant lanes. We were pleasantly surprised at this lovely "home away from home" ! Many thanks, Adele !

Fairly comfortable stay with the essentials that you need.

There was a microwave and a refrigerator available so it was handy to bring back some takeout to eat. There was also coffee supplies and a teapot for the guests.

The room was a bit small, but not a dealbreaker. The walk to the main part of town was a bit of a hike, but it was a pleasant walk so I didn’t mind.

Bathroom was dirty. Bedding had not been washed. The place was a small uninsulated and unheated converted garden shed.

The place covered all the basic needs, it was clean and affordable compared to other places around and not too far from the town centre. The area is quiet and if you are looking for something to eat there are a couple of shops around.

It would have been perfect if the room was equipped with a small fridge and a kettle.

ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED ALL THAT WAS EXPECTED. ABLE TO COME AND GO AS REQUIRED. PLEASANT HOST.

DIFFICULT TO BE OBJECTIVE, POSSIBLY THAT ROOM AND SHARED BATHROOM WERE NOT ON THE SAME FLOOR. AS YOU WOULD EXPECT A SHARED BATHROOM IS A SHARED BATHROOM, BUT WAS ALWAYS CLEAN. NO DRIVEWAY PARKING AVAILABLE AND FELT WARY OF THE CONTROLLED PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA SO PARKED A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY.

don’t be put off by the photos the room sizes are good with tele in each one Tea and coffee available beds as expected reasonable. the bathroom is very spacious with a good size and effective shower

The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs but this is only a slight problem The owner doesn’t speak much English but that isn’t a problem. We had a one night stay and found it good value
