THE APARTMENT
Stella Marina Apartment is located in Corniglia, the central village of the Cinque Terre, right on the main square of the town, where the minibus from the train station also arrives.
Situated on the second floor of a typical Ligurian house with three apartments, the accommodation is in the heart of the village, just a short walk from artisan shops, boutiques, bakeries, and restaurants.
The apartment measures 100 sqm and is spread over two levels:

Lower level:
Open-plan living area with a comfortable lounge, dining space, and fully equipped kitchenette
Furnished terrace with table and chairs, overlooking the gardens and vegetable plots below; in the distance, the village of Manarola can be seen
Guest bathroom with washing machine

Upper level / mezzanine:
Double bedroom
Attic twin bedroom with two single beds (partially visible from the lower level)
Attic bathroom with hydromassage bathtub

The apartment can accommodate up to 4–6 guests, with a sofa bed in the living area, the double bedroom, and the twin bedroom.

HOW TO REACH CORNIGLIA
We recommend reaching Corniglia by train, as a car is not necessary in the Cinque Terre and parking is limited and paid.
The Corniglia train station is located below the village, which is perched on a hill.
A shuttle bus connects the station to the village in about 5 minutes (tickets can be purchased on board).
The shuttle runs daily until 7:00 PM; after that time, the village can only be reached on foot, either via the main road or by climbing the Lardarina Staircase (377 steps).
Please note: there is no taxi service available.
The apartment is located on the main square, just a few steps from the shuttle stop.
We recommend bringing light and manageable luggage.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Our reception is located at Hotel Clelia in Deiva Marina, approximately 30 km from Corniglia.
The hotel operates seasonally, from Easter until the end of October.
Upon request, guests can collect the keys directly in Corniglia using the self check-in system with a numeric code.
Guest registration is handled remotely, with support available via Vrbo, email, and phone.

My family had a very pleasant time in this apartment. Most importantly, the AC cools entire apartment well. Second, it is a PERFECT location. The lack of a stand-up shower was problematic, the TVs are rather old, and the WIFI was quite spotty when we were there (turning on and off regularly). These aren't big issues if spending the entire day in the beach, but if a business traveler or family with kids expecting some downtime streaming movies, they could be issues. The kitchen was great to make meals in, and the market was only steps away from the apartment. ALSO--swimming in Corniglia was fantastic! Just bring water shoes for stability and to protect feet from sharp rocks.

The property is lovely, large, in a perfect location, in the quietest village of the five in Cinque Terre. The east facing balcony was lovely for breakfast and to watch the world go by on the piazza in the evening. It is right next to both grocery stores, and the neighbours in the building were very friendly, with two adorable cats! The only thing to be aware of is that the shower head is not high enough to be a stand-up shower, but can be used easily by sitting in the jacuzzi tub or sitting on the back ledge of the tub. A wonderful apartment, it worked so well for our party of 6, thank you!

This apartment was very well located and check-in was smooth. Issues: The bedroom upstairs hardly gets wifi and the apartment doesn't have a shower. The Jacuzzi tub was clean, but nozzles seemed to be dirty and it's not very convenient to shower with the hand held faucet. We could not locate heating in the house for living room. Also, there were hardly any closets/storage facility in the unit. I'd certainly advise that if traveling to Cinque Terre - carry less luggage since there are so many stairs. Luckily this unit is just at main downtown stop in Corniglia, but the spiral staircase makes it difficult. I'd recommend this place for short stays in Corniglia.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in this very comfortable property. And since we had a car, we took advantage of the offer to park at the hotel they own and take the train to Corniglia. (and we were able to meet the lovely property manager!). Unfortunately, it had rained the day before we came, so some of the trails were closed. We'll just have to return! :)

The apartment is lovely and a very convenient location in town being very close to the bus stop. The only issue with it was that there isn’t a stand up shower, just a hand held thing in the tub, and if your family is tall, like mine, you can’t stand up in the tub. Otherwise, the place was great and would recommend it!

Our family loved staying at this rental. We were undecided on which village to stay at and Corniglia turned out perfect for us. It is centrally located and easy to move around to other villages via the train. It’s the only village that doesn’t have direct access via the ferry, which turned out great as it’s not as overcrowded as other villages. The apartment has all of the amenities you need and communication was extremely clear. The layout worked well for our family of 4 with two teenage boys. As others mentioned, there isn’t a shower, but rather a large jacuzzi with a handheld shower head. I’d read this prior and it wasn’t an issue for us. We really enjoyed spending our evenings on the outdoor patio, playing cards and watching the activity downstairs in the courtyard. The apartment is right in the village and we could just pop down the stairs to visit restaurants and enjoyed walking down to the water. It’s also close to the hiking trail to Vernazza which an incredible hike. Our only regret was staying 2 nights instead of 3.

The apartment was consistent with the description and photos. The apartment is spacious with a queen/double bed in one room and two twin beds in a loft. The kitchen is small but adequate for light meals and snacks. There is a tiny laundry room with a toilet on the main floor. The spiral staircase to access the loft is very compact. Large people and large luggage will have trouble with a tight squeeze. The bathroom is spacious but there is no shower. The jacuzzi tub is fitted with a hand held shower nozzle. Our family made it work for the 2 nights we stayed. Location is great, just a few steps and stairs off the town square. There are lots of steep stairs in CT and accessing the apartment is no exception. Communication with the host was very good, and professional. The directions to access the property were good.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was perfect for our family. The air conditioning was very welcome after a day in the heat and humidity. The air conditioning in the master bedroom didn’t work as well. Also, be aware that the jacuzzi is really nice but the shower is just hooked up above the jacuzzi and you will need to kneel in the tub to have a shower. Other than that, it was a great experience! What a beautiful place in the world!

We parked our car in Deiva, then took a train/bus to our place. Super great instructions and a very nice place! Very central and basically next to the bus stop. Nicely furnished and the a/c was a fantastic! We had a wonderful stay here (6 of us) and would highly recommend it!

We had a great time in Corniglia. The apartment is in a great location in town and has all amenities (including comfortable beds) needed for a great stay. There are a lot of steps to get to the unit. Close to restaurants and the Cinque Terre trail. The host team was extremely responsive prior and during our trip. We highly recommend this location for anyone staying in Corniglia. What an amazing little town!!

Location and furnishings were fantastic. Check in and check out process was efficient. If I could change one item - it would be to have a taller shower. I am 6’1” and found it a little hard with the bath shower combination. Regardless I highly recommend this particular location and rental!!

We loved this apartment in Corniglia. Plenty of space for our family of five and we really enjoyed the comfortable common area and terrace. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Corniglia is a sweet little town off the beaten track with restaurants and shops, but it takes effort to get up there! For us the stairs were no problem. We loved walking down to the harbor for swimming.

Fantastic apartment and location. So quiet and peaceful, yet an easy place to hop on the trails and train. Our host was especially responsive and helpful and got right back to us with answers to various questions. I loved the self check in process! It made coming and going so easy. I highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment is large, well decorated and very clean. The location is excellent - Right on main square (where there are 2 small markets, cash machine, Restaurants etc, view of houses and church). While other side has a balcony where we had breakfast with a view of green and coast in the distance. Kitchen has most everything (even dishwasher). That dishes and pans are located in cupboard in living space less practical but doable. Master bedroom beautiful, single beds cozy but not in closed off space. Worked ok for us, but something to keep in mind. The living space Is large and comfortable. We had some bad weather so we’re glad for the space to hang out together, in between exploring. The big negative was that the bathroom although beautiful Is not practical for showering. You need to sit down in Jaccuzzi bath to shower. Not ideal for us tall ones and when coming back from the beach. Otherwise excellent eye for detail (Lists of towels, crisp sheets, dishwasher soap etc) and fast response to questions. Had problem with gas stove (vent and pilot light out) - they sent person to fix it with our permission of course. Corniglia was wonderful- cosy, great view of ocean From on high and sunset point and several good restaurants. That said we were there during Sept and COVID time so it was not overrun with tourists. Highly recommended!!!

The apartment was very well located immediately beside the main square where the bus will drop you off from the train station. There are stairs to get into the apartment and also there is a very tight spiral staircase to reach the upstairs bedrooms. So... if mobility is an issue or you travel with large luggage this might not be a good fit. I would suggest though that this applies to all of the accommodation in Corneglia.The apartment was very comfortable and has a lovely balcony with a view. The beds were also very comfortable. We were unable to get the shower to work so used the bath instead but have notified the property manager so hopefully that has been resolved. It is a short shuttle ride up and down the hill and the shuttle is free if you have a Cinque Terra card. Corneglia essentially has no nightlife but does have a few good restaurants. If you are looking for a peaceful place to spend your evenings after long days of trekking or exploring it is a lovely choice

Corniglia is the smallest of the five towns but has great things come in small packages. At the end of the day, only the fortunate will understand how perfect it is. The town is at the top of 333 steps from the train station. There is a bus that takes you exactly to the main piazza which is where the property is situated. Or you can climb the stairs, which is what we did. You can hike to Vernazza from here and it is beautiful. There are a couple of little grocers and restaurants right there in the piazza. Grab a bottle of wine, some amazing breads, local cheese and salami and you have yourself a meal. Loved this place!

We (two couples) picked Corniglia hoping what we read about this little village being less visited was correct. We made the right choice. This is such a unique village, loved the restaurants, location and the apartment. We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. If I had to pick something to be sure people are aware of is you do have to go thru one bedroom to get to the other. Not a big deal, but good info to know. We would absolutely stay here again if we find ourselves in Italy again!

We loved this apartment in Corniglia, it could not have been more central, right next to the bus stop from the train station at the bottom of the hill and right in the town square where the restaurants and mini-markets were located. The apartment was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated with coastal theme, spacious and comfortable with great view. The only drawback was that you can't stand up in the shower which was part of the bath with a low ceiling over it.

An excellent, updated property with beautiful views from a third floor apartment in a quiet village. Great communication with the property manager. Any issues and there is a prompt response. With that said, please note that there are 35 steps from the street to the door of this apartment. Once in the apartment, there is also a very tight, spiral staircase going up to the sleeping area and main bathroom. If you have limited mobility, this is not the property for you. If you are traveling by car, there is very limited permit parking in the town for visitors. It was advised that we park at the La Spezia Train Station (40 euros/day prorated) and take the train to Corniglia, then catch the bus from the Corniglia train station to take you up to the town. The last bus from the train station leaves at 7 p.m. If you miss it, it's a 377-steps walk up to the town. Regarding the train, you must have your ticket validated after purchase. If not validated, you'll face a steep fine if asked to produce your ticket once on the train. If you'd like to visit some of the other towns in Cinque Terre, you can take the train which runs till midnight. Or, there are shuttle busses that you can take as well. The last shuttle back to Corniglia is around 9 p.m. Bonus, the bus stop is at the bottom of the stairs to your apartment. You will not be disappointed with your stay in Corniglia. It's the smallest of the five towns. Once all the day-trip visitors are gone, it's a quiet, peaceful town with the locals gathering in the square to talk. Corniglia has plenty of restaurants open in the evening as well as a couple of gelato shops that stay open later as well. If you like to cook in, there are two markets across the town square from your apartment. There is also an organic market further up the main tourist walk way. There is also a small pharmacy that sells distilled water for you sleep apnea folks. We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. You will not be disappointed.

Charming apartment right on the main square in Corniglia, just steps from the shuttle bus stop, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, the orchards, the hills, and a glimpse of Manarola. Be prepared for 2 flights of stairs up to the apartment and a narrow spiral staircase to the bedroom, sleeping loft, and bathroom with shower/tub. Nice living room and dining area. Our Clelia hosts were helpful with information about a train strike the day we left. Our only complaint was that to make coffee, we had only single-serving stovetop espresso units -- but at least there were two.

We loved Corniglia and this apartment was perfect for us. It was roomy and comfortable and we loved the bathroom with the jacuzzi tub. It was also nice having a second WC since there were four of us. It was lacking a few kitchen essentials, like sharp knives, but we told the manager about that and they promised to replace the knives for the next guests. Salt and pepper were the only things provided in the kitchen (no paper towels, napkins or olive oil or spices), but plenty of pots and pans and dishes. Besides those few minor quibbles, it was a wonderful place to stay.
