Walk to beach! Luxury and Serenity, Seaside Home

Emerald Villa is a newly constructed seafront villa following the Cretan tradition of stone architecture. It is part of the exclusive complex of select villas called Azure, which are four homes beautifully integrated within the seaside landscape, each with its own garden and pool. Located just 85 meters from the picturesque beach of Rapaniana village (a few steps from the front door!), with unobstructed views to the sea and the magnificent beauty of the surrounding nature.
The general area is that of the fishing village Kolymbari, 22km from the city of Chania. Emerald Villa promises to satisfy all of our guests’ expectations of serenity, relaxation, hospitality, and privacy.

The owners, true to Cretan tradition, have used eco-friendly materials. The interior is decorated with light elegant furniture, giving a sense of romanticism and luxury.

The clear blue sea that seems to join the equally blue sky, together with the pebble beach lined with almyrikia (tamarind trees) make this an ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, and dips into the sea.
Emerald is built on a spacious and private two-acre garden with a luxurious private pool (40 sq.m) featuring a hydro-massage/Jacuzzi. The garden also hosts a stone-built covered BBQ with wood oven and outdoor kitchen, as well as a seating corner where guests can enjoy their meals under the brilliant daytime sky or the stars of the evening sky. The villa also features private outdoor parking.

The size of our villa is approximately 150 sq.m and the accommodation is situated on three levels, with a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with cozy sofas, a separate dining room, three spacious bedrooms, and 3 en-suite bathrooms plus the opportunity to add a beautifully decorated brand new fourth room for an additional fee upon request, which includes a double bed as well as a sofa bed (please note this room does not feature windows looking to the outside).

Service includes changing of linen twice a week, keeping the pool clean, and taking care of the garden and surrounding environment.


Within walking distance from the home (about 300 m) is the bus stop, a car rental, restaurant, cafe, mini-market, butcher, bakery, and a hairdresser.

Emerald Villa is the perfect starting point to explore Crete, especially the wild beauty of the western part of the island. Some of the favorite day trips include: The famous cruise to picturesque Balos Lagoon and the castle of Gramvousa Island, the long sandy beach of Falasarna with its clear waters, the pink-sand beach of the nature reserve of Elafonisi, the Byzantine historical monasteries, the gorge of Samaria, the Venetian port of the Old Town of Chania, and the great Minoan Palace of Knossos at Heraklion, as well as the museums of the area. Lively nightlife can be had at the nearby resort town of Platanias with its nightclubs, as well in the Old Town of Chania, where there are many eclectic eating experiences as well as bars, cafes, and nightclubs to be enjoyed.
