The most memorable stay

It was very friendly and social. The hostel is located in the first line to the beach, so you can go just in the swimsuit. In the evenings we had a cosy chats around the campfire. It did a great impression, and I always remember it, talking about my travels.

There was a little hot water and I was freezing at night. Also, it is just 5km from the city, the bus connection was tricky, and I had to wait for 3 hours to return once.

One of the most memorable hostel stays of my life

This was one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Not only was it comfortable and clean, but I straight up could not have summited Mt Olympus without the help of the lovely staff at the hostel. I was hiking alone, and when I didn't come home from my hike until late, the staff were in touch to make sure I was okay, which was a degree of hospitality and thoughtfulness I've never encountered in a hostel before. The home cooking was fantastic. Swimming in the ocean was fantastic.

Great value, even better staff

Within two minutes of waking up I was swimming in the sea. The hostel is great value for money, right on the beach and close to the start of Mt. Olympus. The guy who runs the place, Vasilli, is a 10/10. Very hospitable, helpful and relaxed.

If I have to be picky, I would like to see curtains around the beds for added privacy

Comfortable and breathtaking location!

Absolutely perfect stay! Summit Zero Hostel is the best base for Mount Olympus. The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere friendly, and everything was clean and comfortable. Food and drinks were affordable, and the location couldn’t be better. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Litochoro—10/10 experience!

Wonderful and enjoyable staying.

Perfect location, near the beach and close to Olimpus mountain heights. I enjoyed the fresh breeze from the mountains mixed with the salty sea breath in the mornings. The staff were very helpful, and Paddy, the manager, was generous in his responsiveness and attitude towards guests.

Maybe more blue basil in the garden. Mosquitoes don't like it.

Nice location by the sea and a place to meet other travelers, but a lot of space for improvement

The hostel has a good location by the sea if you are interested in swimming. We met several foreign travelers, which helped us a lot in planning our next trips to Greece. The shower and toilet were ok.

The hostel has a wrong location on booking. The address given in text form does not match the location on the map. The text address redirected us to Plaka, 5km away. When I told them that it was wrong, they ignored it. The hostel offered dinner, rice with chicken for 9 euros, which we ordered. The rice was raw and extremely oversalted, to the point that it was inedible. The meat was sour and rubbery, I was afraid it would be spoiled and we would get food poisoning. The operator also asked us if there was something wrong with the rice, so I told him. I expected him to offer us something else or compensate us somehow, but he asked for the full 18 euros. Big disappointment. I would expect that when half of the guests in the hotel get up early in the morning for a demanding hike in the mountains, they wouldn't be having a very noisy party down at the bar late into the night.

Wonderfulicious

Oh god, what I didn't like. The hosts, Christo and Vasilis are amazing. They helped about anything, no matter what. Showed a great compassion in what they do, showed me where I could enjoy waterfalls and fight Lions and Tigers on Mt. Olymp. And not just fight, survive and thrive! The hostel was amazing, with everything you need at the glance of your hands. The beach is right there, the mountain is right there, Litochoro, amazing city is right there. The fullfilled my 2500km scooter trip and I loved every. single. second. of it. People who came and left the hostel were also amazing. All around, great package!

Great place for adventures

Nice view of the sea, just a few steps to the beach. Very convenient location to start your trip to Olympus Mountain. Clean room and beds. Great location to meet other hikers from different countries. Restaurants and shops are available in very short proximity.

An island of comfort surrounded by sea and mountains

A place in the middle of nowhere next to the beach closeby to Litochoro and mount olymp which is looking down on you, there you find summit zero an oasis like non other. From the moment we arrived, we got a warm welcome from Vassilis one of the most lovely humans we've met in Greece! He explained to us the hikes, drove us to the city Litochoro so we could see the Easter ceremony, brought us to the starting point of the hike and even lent us some appropriate hiking clothes. We originally only planned two nights but had to extend because of him, such a character, the guy himself. He also makes an amazing barbecue and prepares really good dishes but no worries there are very good vegetarian options too. The dishes in the hostel all are a fair price and book the breakfast! Greek yoghurt with fruits, Müsli and honey, soooooo good that we had it every day. The stay was one of the loveliest we had in weeks and the staff Vasilis and Christoph are just unbelievably lovely and you really feel at home there.

Basic but friendly

It was quiet when we stayed which was a bonus . It was chap but rather run down so I guess you got what you pay for ... maybe my backpacking days are numbered . Also nobody was very informative about the mountain . Don't want to be unfair ... the people were lovely as they are everywhere .

Tottaly beyond expectations, perfect localisation if you want to get rid off of the civilisation and spend really good time in the really good place. Remember to ask about Yurtsa! From the very first second you feel like this is Home, just thank you guys for everything and keep it going! 😃💚

Superb

The staff are super helpful and the food is great and well priced. Perry was very helpful with info on the bus, where to go, and a dropoff at the bus station. Both he and Louisa were very welcoming and kind, and there were some nice cats and a dog on-site. Bathrooms and bedrooms were generally clean. The hostel also has excellent access to the ocean, I was able to go swimming every day I stayed, even though it was late Oct - early Nov.

Wifi was spotty at times, and the commute to/from town could be a little long at times. If you miss all the bus timings or there isn't a convenient one, however, the walk back is still pleasant.

Why can't I live here

Firstly, Louisa is so nice and welcoming. Right next to the beach. The rooms are cozy and the beds pretty comfortable. There's a big homey living room and a beautiful garden. The food she makes is so good! Don't need to eat outside. But if you want to there are a couple taverns meters away. Sunny balcony with chairs, sunbeds and line to dry clothes on. Has washing machine.

Shower is a little small, not too bad.

I gotta very comfy and all sunburn. I was very relaxed. The vibe is so chilled.

I loved this place. It's a social hostel and a perfect place to relax. The beach is nice and directly in front of the building. Both dogs are lovely, they have lockers and the food is just amazing. The staff is extremely welcoming. Will come back!

Very nice hostel right on the beach with easy walking distance to the bus station to visit Mount Olympus. Excellent facilities and welcoming staff.

I don't think there were any kitchen facilities, but the hostel restaurant/bar is reasonably priced.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The food was very good as well and the all around atmosphere of the place was really nice and relaxed but safe at the same time.

Only downside was that there was just one toilet/shower, one women's and one men's. So it got a little crowded at times.
