Mediterranean Princess- Adults Only

Our stay at the Mediterranean Princess left us with mixed feelings. While the physical property has a lot going for it and specific staff members went above and beyond, our experience was impacted by several discrepancies between the online listing and reality, alongside a strange dining policy. The Good: Great Highlights & Standout Service There are many very good things about this property. The hotel is kept incredibly clean, the pool area is beautiful and relaxing, and they even have a nice little gym on-site. We were also very impressed by the food, which was both delicious and of good quality. Furthermore, the hospitality from certain team members was top-notch. I want to explicitly praise Kostantinos at the front desk, who provided exceptional service. He was absolutely wonderful, polite, and incredibly welcoming throughout our stay. We also received great service from Elena in the restaurant, who was attentive, lovely, and did a wonderful job during our dinners. They are both a massive asset to the property. The Strange: Rushed Dinner Service While the food was good and Elena was great, we had a bizarre experience on our final night. The first two evenings, we easily paid for our dinner upfront while at our table. On the third night, however, another lady—who seemed to be the food and beverage manager—suddenly rushed us to finish our meal just so we could go pay at the reception. It felt strangely urgent and completely ruined the relaxing vibe of our final dinner. The Discrepancies: Booking Errors and Missing Amenities We booked this trip for our honeymoon and specifically requested a large bed. However, due to a communication breakdown between the booking systems and a third-party wholesaler (Expedia), our request was completely overwritten, and we were assigned a twin-bed room instead. Discovering this upon arrival was deeply disappointing for a honeymoon trip. Furthermore, the current online amenities list for this property is inaccurate. We chose this hotel over cheaper options because the listing advertised on-site billiards and happy hours. In reality, neither of these amenities exist. Lastly, be prepared for a mandatory Greek climate tax at check-in. This fee was 10 euros per day per room and was not clearly disclosed or factored into our final checkout screen summary. Verdict: The Mediterranean Princess is a clean, nice hotel with a great pool, good food, and standout staff like Kostantinos and Elena. However, if you have specific room requirements or are looking forward to the advertised activities, I highly recommend contacting the hotel directly immediately after booking to verify your room setup and check which facilities are actually open.
