About this house rental

Are you looking for a maison of charme? A glass of wine in front of a fireplace?In the charming old town within the walls, at the foot of the castle and near the ancient fountain in Piazza San Rocco, only 200 m from the lakeside (Marina),there is our vacation home. This is a typical residence, located in the center of Bolsena, in a strategic position with regard to various services (supermarket, pizzeria, bakery, bars ...) and with respect to access to the Castle.
The house is romantic, cozy and very comfortable, the furnishings and objects are ancient and modern, all chosen with care and in detail. The mansion ensures the comfort of modern houses, reproducing the atmosphere of the house of our grandmothers, in a medieval village.
On two levels, newly renovated, 70 sqm, has a living room with fireplace, kitchen, double bedroom, single bedroom, bathroom with shower, terrace for nice dinners by candlelight. There are three bikes for walks along the lake to reach sailing clubs and riding stables and the Natural Park of Turona.
Max Capacity: 5 people (one double bedroom, sofa bed, sofa bed).The house is equipped with all the furnishings of plates cups and cutlery from 6 to 12, bedding, bath, kitchen.
If you are looking for your holiday and your relax a village of great charm and historical atmosphere, full of events and local markets also in autumn, small restaurants and craft shops, panoramic views and speciality food and wine at reasonable prices, activities in art and music and sports(hiking, biking, sailing and canoeing),

Do you want something different? something cozy? Something unexpected? Something absolutely lovely? Me and my two daughters stayed for a week in this accommodation. The place is absolutely lovely. It felt like the owner just left and you step into a cozy house with all kind of cure furniture and decoration. That might be a little weird at the beginning, but if you embrace it your feel home really quick. The location is absolutely fantastic. In the middle of Bolsena. Supermarket next door, a nice square with an espresso bar for your morning coffee and the lovely medieval town of Bolsena as your backyard. And the walk to the lake is easy an beautiful as well. The hostess communicates really well. The minute I had booked she sent me all the details for my stay including recommendations for places to eat and drink. Also during my stay, she kindly informed if all went well. It was such nice week at a lovely location. Such a location that make you wanting to stay and live in Italy forever.

We throughly enjoyed our week holiday in this house built into the walls of the medieval town of Bolsena. Every thing was close at hand including more restaurants than we could eat in, a small supermarket, and other shops within a stonethrow. The bed was comfortable and an open log fire warmed us as we were out of season. It did not have wifi but it was no problem as you can piggyback on any of the restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend it to any couple looking to explore this interesting part of Italy. The only downside is that I would not recommend it to anyone not good on their feet as the stairs are steep, shiny wood and open at one side but that should be no problem for anyone wanting to go to old, fortified hilltop towns.

A beautiful house with everything in it! Furnished with love. The owners gave us a very warm welcome! The house is perfectly located in the old centre of Bolsena. Cosy cafe's restaurants, shops, cultural highligts (castle, chruch, art galeries etc.) are all arround the corner. The lake, a ten minutes walk, is beautiful and very nice to swim in (the water was warm). We enjoyed a full three weeks in this surrounding and it was wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bolsena where we spent a week in this cosy, two-storey house. The owners, Adele and Massimo, were charming, discreet and very kind to us. They went out of their way to help us settle in, and were extremely helpful. The location, right in the middle of the medieval part of the town, is excellent: food shops, restaurants, the lake itself and places of historic interest, all within walking distance. It's an ideal base for trips to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and hill towns by car or on a bike. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water, towels and bath robes, and the kitchen, well-equipped, opens out onto a terrace made for prolonged, lazy breakfasts! All in all, a delightful, relaxing holiday!

Delightful house in great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay at Bolsena in this charming house, we stayed May 2015. We were met by Massimo who explained everything and he also kindly took us for a short tour to point out the restaurants and bars, parking etc. We found the house to be very well equipped, clean and comfortable, it felt very homely and we enjoyed eating some of our meals and reading books, relaxing outside on the terrace. Our son travelled from Rome to stay one weekend and we picked him up from Orvieto train station, just 15 minutes away from the house by car. The train journey to Rome is 1 hour, so perfect if you wanted to spend a day in the capital. We enjoyed being in Bolsena, never having been here before, I have to admit we were surprised at how beautiful it is and the surrounding countryside and hill towns are also stunning. We spent one morning walking part of the Francigene Way and heard cuckoos calling in the woods. Magic. The neighbours always thoughtfully asked if everything was OK if we bumped into them outside the house. We ate like kings that week: our menu ranged from delicious porchetta panninis purchased for lunch from just across the road, fresh water fish from the lake at lakeside restaurant, Sunday lunch was at the osteria/bookshop behind the house, the Tanaquilla restaurant is well worth a visit, scrummy, and in between times we did our own meals buying local delicacies from the supermarket nearby and the alimentari. The house is perfectly situated in the centre of Bolsena so you can experience Italian life as a local and not have far to walk home at the end of an evening! Thank you Adele and Massimo for helping to make our holiday a good one, hope to be back

Great appartments!

The apartments were really great - it was clean, looks good, has lot of fancy things in it which makes it feel like in own home. It also has everything you need for your stay. Owner was really kind and explained everything and showed apartments, informed about best places in area and even suggested tours around. Also Bolsena as a place is great for lazy relaxation or as a central point for tours to discover Umbria, Lacio and Tuscany regions.

Adele, the owner of the house, was very friendly and took care of all our enquiries! The house itself is located in the heart of Bolsena, so you have you will find everything in walking distance. The house itself is fully equipped, from an orange juice squeezer to bikes you will haved everything you need. We would definitely love to come again!

"The appartment is special. It's cosy, very big meaning 1 couple/family, located in an awsome part of a small old town. There are many pleasant things in it, making one feel like home. Besides, the appartment contains spacious hall, lovely terrace for breakfast and barbeque (applied), "room for thinking" etc. The place is beautiful and quiet. Great medieval quarters (fortress) just above, beautifl lake below. Supermarket, pizza, bakery, bar, a couple of nice restaurants and the main street of the old town are quite near, pub and gelateria (ice-creams) are 3 mins walk. 1,5 hour by car to Rome, half an hour to any of a range of old nice towns."

Wir haben sehr kurzfristig für 12 Tage eine Unterkunft gesucht und sehr viel Glück gehabt. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Obwohl unsere Vermieterin Adele nicht vor Ort war war alles gut organisiert und kein Problem. Wir wurden von einer sehr netten Nachricht begrüßt inklusive vielen nützlichen Tipps von Adele wo man gut Essen kann oder das Auto parken. Haben eine sehr schöne Zeit in Bolsena und Umgebung verbracht. Grazie Adele!

Nachdem man sich daran gewöhnt hat dass es sich um eine ursprünglich bewohnte Wohnung handelt, mit grossen Mengen an Dingen die halt so rumstehen, ist es sehr schön. Ausreichend Adapter für die diversen Geräte sind vorhanden. Alles funktioniert gut. Die Lage ist mitten im Dorf mit den entsprechenden Geräuschen die so etwas macht. Die Ausstattung ist gediegen italienisch. Was erwartet man anderes? Es war schön in Bolsena. Was für ein schönes Stück Erde.

Perfekte, zentrale Lage in einer kleinen Gasse neben einem Supermarkt und in der Nähe zu sehr guten Restaurants. Es steht außerdem ein Parkplatz zur Verfügung. Insbesondere die große Terasse hat mich überzeugt. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Haushälterin, die uns bei der Ankunft in Empfang genommen hat und kein einziges Wort Englisch konnte, weshalb es zu Verständigungsproblemen kam und und unsere Fragen zur Wohnung unbeantwortet blieben. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert :)

Es waren wunderschöne 14 Tage in Bolsena. Wer das direkte Stadtleben von Bolsena kennerlernen möchte, sollte diese Unterkunft buchen. Sie ist liebevoll und mit vielen Details eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Altstadt bittet viele Möglichkeiten z.B. zum erkunden der Stadt, leckeres Essen und man kann sehr schöne gemütliche Abende verbringen. Wir danken Adele für die schöne Zeit.

We spent 12 days in Bolsena and the apartment was very nice, there is everything (!) you need. Also Adele was flexible with our dates as we wanted spontaneously to stay 2 days longer. And we had a detailed nstruction by Adele and her husband when we arrived in Bolsena. We came there with a baby, so for us all the decoration was a bit problematic because we had to move everything and didn't have enough space for our own stuff. Anyways, we would recommend this apartment (ad its great fire place), thank you very much!

Nice little aparment in the heart of Bolsena, in an authentic old building, with a bathroom, shower and a really nice terrace for breakfast etc. The location of the apartment is really good, there is just everything nearby, a supermarket for supplies as well as a butcher's shop, a fishmonger and even a hairdresser, this can't be better. Negative points in our opinion are the moldy/smoky smell in the basement which we did'nt use anyway, and the fact that there is not much room for personal things, the wardrobe is already stuffed with everything useful and not so useful, and so are the shelves etc. in the bathroom - a bit less decoration would be good here. All in all it was a nice holiday in the apartment and in Bolsena.

Avevamo avuto subito nostalgia di Bolsena, del lago e di questa casa dai muri di pietra nella bella parte antica del paese, in una posizione magnifica, centrale e nel contempo appartata, a pochi passi da tutto (ristoranti, panetteria, norcineria, , supermercato, negozietti, ecc.). Anche il lago (con spiaggia sia libera che attrezzata) è agevolmente raggiungibile, sia a piedi con una breve passeggiata attraverso un viale alberato, sia più rapidamente con le biciclette in dotazione. La casa è fresca e accogliente, arredata con gusto, perfettamente equipaggiata ea di ogni comfort (elettrodomestici grandi e piccoli, biancheria e attrezzatura da cucina in qualità e quantità - i piatti sono davvero carini - materiale informativo utilissimo per orientarsi nei ricchi dintorni, e non ultima una mini biblioteca). Quando non si ha voglia di uscire ci si può godere il fresco sul piccolo terrazzo, anch'esso attreattrezzatissimo (tavolo, barbecue, sdraio) mangiando fuori, la sera anche a lume di candela. Di sotto il salottino con caminetto promette analoghe piacevolezze per la stagione fredda. Tutto è dunque curato nei minimi dettagli per un soggiorno perfetto. E Adele e Massimo sono padroni di casa perfetti: gentilissimi, simpatici e premurosi. Insomma, la libertà della vacanza e il calore di casa. Consigliatissimo a tutti, a tutte le età e in tutte le stagioni.

Die Kommunikation lief hervorragend, die Anreise klappte problemlos. Das Haus ist sehr hübsch und reichhaltig individuell eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ist opulent - von allem, was man im Urlaub braucht, gab es mehr als genug. Alles funktioniert (z.B. Klimaanlage, Dusche), und natürlich war es überall sauber. Zu zweit hatten wir unendlich viel Platz. Die geräumige, schattige Terrasse haben wir viel genutzt. Gleich darunter war unsere Lieblingsbar. Die Lage ist großartig: mitten in der Altstadt, direkt unter der Burg. Alles ist bestens zu Fuß erreichbar (Burg, Restaurants, (Lebensmittel-)Lädchen, Supermarkt, Post, Bus, Marktplatz, Geldautomat...). Die sehr zentrale Lage ist es wert, dass es abends erst etwas später ruhig wird. Für den kurzen Weg zum See gab es zusätzlich Fahrräder. Der See ist nicht überfüllt, aber es gibt einen Hafen und Bars, Tretboote etc. direkt am kleinen Strand. Man kann aber auch nur schwimmen und sich eher im Ort amüsieren, die Wege sind ja nicht weit. Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es mehrere Veranstaltungen im Ort. Es war lebendig, aber nicht zu arg touristisch. Wir hatten immer einen sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Ansprechpartner. Insgesamt hat der Urlaub unsere Erwartungen übertroffen - danke sehr! Wir haben vor, irgendwann wiederzukommen.
