Work, rest and enjoy.

The house had everything we wanted for a 2 night stay, which included work and relaxing. The hot tub was a good plus for the end of the day relaxation. We will definitely book again in the future.

There was nothing we didn't like. The place was in the middle of the countryside, which was perfect for us.

An exceptional stay in a beautiful part of the world

We had THE BEST weekend here. It was a surprise for my wife's 50th Birthday. We took the kids and dog and had a fantastic, fun and relaxing time. We started off on the Friday by visiting the zip wire approximately 1 hour away in Aberdare and then arrived just after 3pm. I had been speaking to the hosts (Claire and Adrian) beforehand and they had been so helpful answering various queries. They had kindly put birthday banners and balloons up for my wife upon arrival which was so nice and this was in addition to the welcome package of a bottle of elderflower, crisps and free range eggs (laid by the resident chickens) and a Birthday card! How lovely. There were six of us and the cottage was perfect. Every room is spacious and clean with a lovely comfortable bed. Ours was a massive King size (made up of two singles) with a mattress protector and hotel pillows. Possibly one of the best nights sleep I've ever had as it was so comfy and the area is so very peaceful. Every room has its own bathroom/wet room too which is amazing. The kitchen/diner/living room is modern and comfortable and cozy. Modern kitchen units with everything you need plus comfortable, clean sofas, a solid wood lovely dining table and chairs and plenty of space. Not forgetting a wide screen TV (we didn't need this) and a lovely wood burner with a great draw and so easy to use. Views from within the living space are just breathtaking...then there's outside...a 7/8 seater hot tub which entertained and relaxed us all throughout the weekend. An ice bath, hammock, table and chairs, firepit, trampoline for the kids and again, the breathtaking views. We sat in the hot tub and took it all in...The small town of Builth Wells is a mile and a half away. It has everything you need...lots of nice pubs that serve food, a couple of small private supermarkets, unique clothes shops and various takeaways. I can't rate this cottage and the owners high enough.

Cottage was lovely modern clean , beautiful views , outstanding outside area ,

I appreciate that people might break the odd thing , but first time I’ve seen a price list pinned to interior of kitchen cupboards. Generally more signage and rules everywhere, than I’ve seen before. I’ve always stripped beds , but never been asked to take to the laundry room before . I try to leave it as I find it and comply to requests, but my daughter and husband found it odd to be asked to do this .

Spectacular

This was by far the best property I’ve stayed in! The views were spectacular! The cottage was lovely spacious and tidy! We had great weather so spent most of our stay outside or in the local town but they have a cupboard full of board games for guests to use for the evening or rainy days! The hot tub was amazing! I can guarantee the water is fresh upon arrival as the morning of departure they emptied cleaned and refilled the hot tub ready for the next guests unlike some places! Great stay and will be back

A relaxed weekend in Wales to recharge with stunning views.

The cottage is excellent, the location was ideal, plenty of space in the cottage, lovely decor, rooms very comfortable throughout the bedrooms with ensuite had fantastic garden and countryside views , lounge kitchen diner was fantastic space for all of us with all modern amenities, the patio with bbq and grill in the garden and hotub were amazing, with views over the valley watching the red kites soaring above were breathtaking, we enjoyed the stay so much and felt relaxed, a real getaway weekend Thankyou to Claire for a warm welcome and the goodies on arrival fresh Welsh cakes, ginger beer and fresh eggs from their own free range chickens were delicious 😁

Only that we needed a longer stay 😌

So many little things that stood out. Claire obviously adores the Bnb and her husband, a talented builder, obviously really loved building it. So everything worked, nothing was difficult, there were a number of little touches that made it so homely and made so much sense, like having a thick OR a thin pillow to choose from. We had our own field essentially, complete with playpark for the children and the views were just exceptional. There was a play cupboard FULL of jigsaws and lovely things for the kids to play with. The fire was beautiful (of course) and really, it just felt like they spared no expense. The toaster and kettle were immaculate and a decent brand. The beds were super comfy, obviously, again spared no expense. It felt like a little home. Really well done x I only hope Claire wasn't disappointed by our poor cleaning efforts, by the time we left for home I could barely walk and was relying on my older, disabled friend to help me get the kids in the car!! Approachable, kind and accomodating. A little bottle of lemonade and some welsh cakes left as we arrived and a booklet of useful information including walks we could do, how to work everything. Oh and the hot tub! Absolutely immaculate, under the stars and beautiful, warm and lovely. It really was great, we immediately planned our return, which says it all really. I'm only disappointed we didn't get to meet Max! Next timex

The hot tube was Huge and amazing, placed perfectly to get a beautiful view from all spaces. The garden was massive and dogs are allowed off leash - perfect for my border collie to play fetch and run around until he is tiered. The garden had an eating area, a BBQ, multiple little sitting spots that reminded us of witch circles (in a good way, very natural with great trees and bushes and seats). Furthermore, the garden immediately connects to a field full of birds, chickens, geese and even a playground. The kitchen was great besides the above mentioned missing items. You also get a dishwasher and everything (else) you needed was provided. The welcome was lovely and we were even left some welsh cakes and fresh lemonade. The women that seem to have run the cottages was lovely, left her numbers in case any issues occured but also did not check on us or anything (which we really liked because sometimes you just like to be left to it). The house itself was just great with 2 bathrooms and showers, three bedrooms, a fire place, a TV (that can connect an hdmi, I simply brought my laptop to connect it and watch Netflix). The rules were also super sensible (like not playing music or being in the hot tube after 10) and all and all it was a super beautiful place to have a little break. I can recommend this place not only for friend groups but also family and couple getaways. Although we didn't use any the handbook was huge and gave a trillion wander paths, things to do and places to visit. I think even if staying 3 weeks boredom would not come up.

The only thing that was missing was a cutting board and a pair of scissors (but maybe we just couldn't find them) I also don't like when places say they are dog friendly but then the dogs are not allowed in most places of the house, although I do understand.

The cottage was beautiful, very spacious and cosy atmosphere. Excellent views and lots of enjoyable walks in the local area. The friendliness of the owners was also excellent, with a very nice gift basket to welcome us on arrival.
