Location and being surrounded by animals (Ostrich, Sable and sheep), electric blankets for winter, fully furnished kitchen and lovely covered outdoor area. Great shower and peaceful.
No clear signage for reception entrance at the Palace where you check in.

Such comfy beds and mattresses. Welcoming hosts. Good location. Safe. Amenities were great.
Some batteries were flat in the remotes, but we managed to swop them with some other remote batteries.

Welgeluk cottage is perfectly located within 5 mins outside Oudtshoorn. Secure, affordable and easily accessible. We received the warmest welcome from our hosts. The cottage was spotless, and so beautifully decorated. Extremely spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, fireplace provided both warmth and comfort. Scenery is spectacular. We loved our daily walks, meeting all the animals and taking in the splendour of the Karoo landscape. I highly recommend staying at Welgeluk cottages. We are seasonal travellers, and there is no accommodation we have been that comes close to the amazing experience we had staying here. We will be returning in the summer. Thank you Stan, Bernadette and staff xx
