Welgeluk Cottage

Welgeluk cottage is perfectly located within 5 mins outside Oudtshoorn. Secure, affordable and easily accessible. We received the warmest welcome from our hosts. The cottage was spotless, and so beautifully decorated. Extremely spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, fireplace provided both warmth and comfort. Scenery is spectacular. We loved our daily walks, meeting all the animals and taking in the splendour of the Karoo landscape. I highly recommend staying at Welgeluk cottages. We are seasonal travellers, and there is no accommodation we have been that comes close to the amazing experience we had staying here. We will be returning in the summer. I would be lying if I had to say there was anything to dislike. Simply flawless.

Travelling with two friends from Switzerland and showing them how beautiful our country is, I was absolutely delighted to share Welgeluk Cottage with them...... and they absolutely loved it

Fantastic layout. All the amenities you need. Safe. Close enough to town. Felt spoiled. Excellent for three adult couples. True reflection of photos on booking.com. Really enjoyed our stay, will be first choice for next visit.

What stood out to me, easy to find, plenty of space, animals in camps all around, a pool at the main house, aircon in all rooms, firewood (but we already bought own), filtered water (but already bought own) and toiletries in all 4 bathrooms, windows had fly-screens and carport.

The 'peeling' toilet seat of the first room. Most glasses need prewashing. Some plates still had shop stickers on. The outdoor BBQ is not in good condition. Stains on couches.
