Hakuna Matata Game Farm

The location is outstanding and the staff were available for anything with tremendous kindness. The hot tub was brilliant during the cold evenings with views over the dam..We also got to see buffalo, nyala, buck, and zebra from our deck. We highly recommend this property, and can't wait for our next trip

What wasn't there to like. It rained the whole weekend and we were still able to enjoy the beautiful views from the front porch while waiting in the hot tub for the fire to burn out to braai. Even after struggling to get our clothes and towels dry the hostess kindly provided us with an extra set of towels without a flinch. Absolutely stunning location!!!

Nothing not to like!!

Beautiful Surroundings and Great Amenities, but Urgent Safety Risks. We had a lovely time enjoying the peaceful, scenic surroundings and the local wildlife. It was a wonderful spot for a quiet two-night stay with my parents. The property is well-equipped for comfort; we especially appreciated the air conditioning in every room and the convenience of having hairdryers available. The air fryer was another excellent feature that we used and enjoyed.

However, we encountered significant safety hazards that future guests should be aware of. The markings on the glass doors have deteriorated to the point of being nearly invisible. This led to a serious accident where my mother walked directly into the glass, requiring immediate ice to manage the swelling. Additionally, the floor around the tub is extremely slippery and lacks non-slip flooring, posing a high risk of falls. Regarding the amenities, we noticed that several lights were not working, and the dartboard had only three low-quality darts. A specific point for future improvement: the hot tub uses river water, and for hygiene and peace of mind, we would have appreciated being allowed to clean and refill the tub each day of our stay.
