The Bird House Bungalow is a 1936 home. Each bedroom has its own full suite. Moved to its current location, the Bungalow has retained its original hardwood floors, all its original windows, and its great Historic charm. If you're looking for modern tile floors, coastal decor, white walls, and granite counters this home is not for you :)
Brimming with historic character, it also has all the comforts of the modern day home: An updated kitchen, bathrooms with central air and heat. The back screened sitting porch and outside area give our guests wonderful opportunities to experience Florida's outdoor beauty. The back yard is fenced for your furry family member. Across the street are tennis courts, a basketball court, and beautiful Pioneer park that is dog friendly. This property is not in a gated community and is very walk-able with designated bike lanes. The neighborhood boasts an array of architectural styles from 1882 to present day. The Birdhouse's proximity to most ALL of Sarasota's amenities is within a 3 mile radius. Whole Foods, Historic Main St., 2 Starbucks locations, and a plethora of unique restaurants sure to satisfy anyone's pallet. St. Armands Circle and Lido Beach are 2 miles from the home and Nathan Benderson Park is 8 miles.

We .enjoyed the character of the home. It was spacious and in a great location to enjoy a beautiful park across the street as well as historic Sarasota with wonderful happy hours.Close to 2 breweries, farmers markets on Wed,Sat, and Sun in different locations. Would definitely recommend

Loved our time at the Birdhouse! Katherine is great! Communication was excellent from the start to the end. The location is wonderful for everything Sarasota! We enjoyed baseball, beach, dining, farmers markets and much more! Thanks Katherine for sharing your home!

What a nice place to stay-comfortable beds-fence yard for the dogs-quiet area.

Katherine the owner was very responsive and helpful. The house is a great layout for a family of five. It is obviously an older home, but has all of the modern amenities that you need. The location is great with Publix is just on the other side of the park and plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Our 13 year old son enjoyed being able to go across the street to the fullcourt basketball court where we weren’t out at the beach or enjoying many of the other activities the area offers.
