7 / 10Good·Oct 2026
The lodge was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of towels and once the log burner was going super cosy and warm. A lovely touch with the fresh bread and cake being left along with some milk. Our hot tub was on the back porch so we felt secluded and this gave a sense of peace and tranquility.
On first impressions we were disappointed as it didn’t look like the photo that’s used to advertise the lodges. It felt a bit un loved from the front and would look pretty with some flower pots and lights front and back - like fairy lights. Would benefit having a smaller frying pan and some wooden kitchen utensils- but we made do.

Had almost everything you would need for a great stay. Location was very peaceful and we would be happy to recommend to friends. A small cake, Nice crusty loaf, and a pint of milk most welcome.
Not much to dislike, maybe a few consumables used for cooking would have been nice
