Riftswood

Paula and Pete are a lovely couple. Unfortunately my husband was taken ill on our first evening and ended up in Scarborough hospital for 4 days. Paula offered to drive me to the hospital every day as I can't drive. They gave me a room to use as we were due to leave on Friday morning. Every day they enquired about my husband's progress. Such a kind and caring couple. The room we had originally was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with as much tea coffee,and toast as you wanted. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to anyone.

The hosts, Paula & Peter were very welcoming and made you feel at home. The accommodation is at the end of a lane, so is very quiet. Parking is easy in front of the accommodation. The room was spacious and had everything you would need. Breakfast was fantastic and I highly recommend the Fortune kippers, but equally the English breakfast is superb. Paula and Peter are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. On arrival we were met by Paula who showed us to our room and asked if we would like a welcome drink and cake. We chose the wine and fruit cake but tea or coffee is also an option. What a lovely welcome gesture.

Paula and Peter are a lovely couple who are friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfasts with a good choice of options (the home made jams were really nice). Would be happy to stay here again.

We were made so welcome the minute we met Paula. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of wine and homemade fruit cake which was delicious. There was a superb choice for breakfast. On one of the days we had famous local kippers with poached eggs cooked to perfection. Paula is an excellent cook and host.
