ESN Oktoberfest Campsite in Munich with Breakfast!

Everything was well thought out — toilets, showers, tent area, breakfast, etc. Because of this, the stay was comfortable and pleasant.

The only issue was that temperatures dropped to around -2°C at night and it was rainy on some evenings. The sleeping bags provided in the tents were suitable for spring conditions, so this should be clearly mentioned as a warning. I brought my own winter-rated sleeping bag, so I was fine, but many other guests felt very cold and moved to hotels.

I had never camped before, so when I discovered the ESN Campsite on booking, I decided to give it a try. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, I liked the fact that there were also activities at the campsite stretching into the night after the Oktoberfest itself back in the city. The surrounding and facilities were also clean. Best to come prepared with heavy clothes and blankets, it can be pretty cold in the night.

The breakfast was decent but sometimes cold. There weren’t enough charging ports for all the people present.

One of the best experience, if not the best, staying in Munich with the ESN Oktoberfest Campsite. I checked in late at night, but the people at the campsite, Marita and Anto, made my check in very smooth and made my tent available to me instantly. The tents were great and clean, had pillows, a comfortable mattress and sleeping bag. It's how you expect a basic tent to be. Anyways, if you're going to Munich to just stay in the tents, you rather don't go. Mind you, you're paying for the experience, not the stay. There's a big tent where everyone can gather and interact. I interacted with the staff there, that was what made my experience a really good one. Monika, Larissa and Madeleine, were all too friendly and sweet to interact. Despite the fact that everyone was from different parts of the world, they all made me feel at home and safe, especially Monika and Larissa. We talked our hearts out with each other. Very beautiful and humble souls. I couldn't have asked for more. There's a daily guide tour to the Oktoberfest as well.
