Property Notice: Papakea Resort will undergo some work on the seawall area intermittently mid-October 2026 - February 2027.
Any intermittent work will take place between Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Although the resort is large, Guests may experience some construction noise during limited days when the construction is near the L Building. We appreciate your understanding as the resort completes this necessary improvement project.

One of Maui's popular vacation spots, Papakea is a peaceful Hawaiian Style low rise resort situated on 13 acres right on the ocean just a short walk to north Kaanapali Beach. The lushly landscaped grounds are immaculately maintained and adorned with red ginger and red palms. At dusk, every evening, the magical twinkling tiki lights are lit and reflect on the Koi ponds through-out the property. Papakea's location is as good as it gets! Within minutes, an easy walk to Duke's, shopping center, Farmers Market, coffee shops, sandy beaches, snorkeling and surfing.
Canal Repair Project Notice:
Papakea Resort will undergo a canal repair project from December 17, 2025 through mid-September 2026. Work will take place Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Guests may experience significant construction noise during these hours. Equipment and materials will be staged along the canal, resulting in limited parking in some areas.
Holiday work is not expected.

A wonderful condo! Beautiful view of the ocean. The grounds and pool were were constantly being cleaned and maintained. A great condo for our group. Just an awareness mention...It was fine for our adult kids, but the stairs to the loft are extremely steep.

We had a great time with our family. The stovetop was hard to operate. Has some issues but other than that it was great. View was great and Maui is such a beautiful place!

AC was misleading, none in the second bedroom at all and a governor controlled it. The unit on the lanai caused the area to get so hot in the afternoon and evening we could not sit out nor eat there. We could use it in the mornings when the outdoor temp was the coolest. No hot water in the master bath shower. Three of us used it at different times during the day and all had warm showers only. No oven except the microwave/oven combo above the cook top stove. it took double the time to bake puff pastry, so we had to completely replan our meals. No recycle bin in condo, tiny kitchen trash can for a condo to accommodate a larger family or group.Broom was appreciated to sweep any sand tracked it, but no dust pan makes to tough to use.The master bash shower had built up dirt on the outside of the shower doors which were completely covered in mineral deposits.The master bedroom had an issue where something had left residue on the tile, perhaps a piece of furniture. The lanai was way too small for the size of table on it.I do have pics of the shower and floor.The resort is a well maintained beautiful property that we may try one more time, the staff was very helpful and engaging.
