Shieling Holidays Mull

Location was superb, open aspect over the water watching the ships and ferries steam past. The accommodation was very comfortable, stylishly designed and equipped with more utensils than just about anywhere else I have stayed. The communication in advance of arrival was excellent.

The cottage was perfect, quiet and with a brilliant aspect. The only thing which detracted was the wider campsite area felt like it needed a bit of TLC and maintenance.

View is amazing! Adequate kitchen stuff to get by. Conveniently located near ferry, but nothing else there if you need to buy anything. Location is great to travel out in multiple directions.

Shower doors are totally leaky, so water problems on floor, but hot water and pressure are great, although a small space. Could use a larger pot and another fry pan.

With booking the two cottages we had plenty of room for our group of 6. The setting of the cottages was wonderful with a view over the water. Craignure was a central location which allowed us to visit Fionnphort and Iona one day and Tobermory the next. Both Mull and Iona are very beautiful islands.

There was a cord by the toilet that you needed to pull to activate the power to the shower. There was no indication as to what the cord was for. In fact, we did not notice the cord. When we couldn’t use the shower we found someone at the Shieling Campsite who advised us to go and speak with Leslie who lived on the site and worked for Shieling Cottages. Leslie was most helpful. She made a call, the problem was solved and we were able to enjoy the lovely big shower. Being from Canada, we are not use to having to turn on power to use a shower.

The view from the front of the cottage was lovely. Everything was very clean. Very handy for getting the ferry.

The campsite itself was quite tired looking and needed a bit of a clean up.
