Kilbowie Retreat is a beautiful modern ground floor apartment within an impressive Scottish Baronial Mansion, almost on the waters edge with breath taking views.. All on the Lower Ground Floor:

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath, Double Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . Grounds with garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Kilbowie Retreat is a unique waterside lower ground floor apartment with beautiful colourful interiors, enhancing this bright and spacious property. This stunning apartment is part of the impressive Victorian mansion, Kilbowie House built in the 1888, located almost on the shores of the Sound of Kerrera. Situated just 1.5 miles from the pretty coastal town of Oban. Being on the lower ground floor you have the added benefit of your own private front garden area that looks straight out onto the water and the hills beyond. Breath taking views! The mansion itself sits within its own sizeable 0.6 acre grounds with private and residential communal gardens. The property has access through the front of the main house with its original wooden panelled walls where you can take the elevator down to the lower ground floor.
There is another entrance through the kitchen via the garden at the rear of the main house. You will love the bright and airy feel of this very spacious open plan lounge and dining area, with amazing views across the water. There is a bright well-equipped modern kitchen with a door leading out to the front of the property. Follow the corridor to the luxury bathroom with its double shower and bath. There are two bedrooms both leading out to a small courtyard area, a little hideaway to sit and escape. Choose between the double bed or the twin room. There are plenty of great country walks right on the doorstep and mountain biking as well. Oban is full of lovely cafes and independent shops, but one of the best things about Oban is the drive to get there. The surrounding landscapes are incredible. Although set in a peaceful location Oban has great train links to Glasgow should you wish to head over to this beautiful city while you’re here.

Excellent, clean, modern and well-appointed flat. Lovely views and convenient to Oban and the isles. The flat is so lovely decorated and completely updated. Free parking and a lift made luggage transfer a breeze. Would definitely stay again!

Kilbowie Retreat is a very comfortable and spacious apartment beautifully decorated but with a homely feel. Its waterfront location is superb with wonderful views across to Kerrera Island. We loved the peace & tranquility. It is a short drive into Oban … too far to walk… where we discovered our favourite seafood restaurant Ee-Usk. The mussels are the best ever! We can thoroughly recommend Kilbowie Retreat as very exquisite holiday accommodation.

We had a wonderful vacation. The holiday apartment has a wonderful view of the island of Kerrera opposite. Everything was as described. Questions were answered quickly by the landlord and supervisor of the holiday apartment.

Lovely modern, family-friendly apartment with everything we needed. Views were incredible, and it was a brilliant place to relax on the inevitable rainy day(s)!
