Tower Bridge Lux-Townhouse

La ubicación y la cercanía a transporte público. El trato muy bueno.

Abbiamo soggiornato in due famiglie con quattro bambini. La casa era perfetta per noi, molto accogliente e rispondente alle foto. C'è tutto il necessario per un ottimo soggiorno. Collegato col centro con bus, il Tower Bridge e Borough Market sono raggiungibili anche a piedi. Ringraziamo l'host che ci ha accolto con una prenotazione dell'ultimo secondo ed è stata sempre disponibile.

Location is nice - close to Bermondsey Street, which has many nice restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Grocery stores are close by. Bus and tube will take you anywhere central (e.g. Westminster, the main museums, Covent Garden) in 35 to 50 minutes, which is reasonable by London standards. The place itself was spacious with its 4 rooms (although it does get tight around the dinner table if your group is larger than 6), rather well-maintained and clean.

The overall booking process and communication with the hosts was rather unpleasant: - The process is complicated: you need to inform of your arrival time, pay a deposit (never had to do that on Booking before), then set up a meet & greet; you need to communicate with the bookings manager through Booking and with the meet & greet team through WA. The host’s website, which I checked out, has links to social media accounts that don’t exist, making one wonder whether it’s legit (which it is). - The messages I received when I was late for the first step (I missed the memo) were a bit passive-aggressive, which didn’t help in any way. - Punctuality requirements seemed to be one-sided: we got a message at 10:14 AM on the day of checkout saying the cleaners had advised we hadn’t left yet (checkout was due at 10:00, but we had to find a place to take a member of our group who was feeling unwell, hence were a few minutes late). However, whereas we had requested to check in by 18:30 on arrival it was almost 19:00 by the time we were let in; furthermore, the owners advised they’d inform us about the deposit refund within 7 days of departure and I had to follow them up as I hadn’t heard back on day 8. I wouldn’t usually be too picky about those things, but if the host is going to be so strict, they should operate by the same standards.

Petite maison typique sur 3 étages située dans un quartier calme. L'accueil à notre arrivée par Reece était génial, il a été disponible par messages tout du long de notre séjour. Une salle de bain attenante à chaque chambre. Cuisine très bien équipée ou nous avons pu cuisiner sans problèmes.

Le seul bémol sont les lits de 190X140... A rectifier au plus vite car 2 personnes de grande taille n'y tiennent pas...
