Good room for 2, or a couple plus 1 child

Clean, well equipped kitchen, if a bit small. The room is decent sized for 2 people, cosy and warm, with a good view from the room and the balcony of slopes opposite. Just a few mins walk to the ski lifts, saving lots of precious skiing time vs staying in Zell. Depending on the conditions, you can sometimes ski down to the lifts from the flat. Pleasant village, but only 2 bars open locally (one is very nice, a hotel bar, so quite plush and not for ravers). For most nightlife catch the last bus into Zell (ie before 6pm), have an evening out and get a taxi back up the hill (about €14). During the daytime it's very lively in the local area with shops, bars, etc.

As others said, the legs of the bed stick out and the room isn't huge, so you walk around it a lot/can stub your toes on it a few times. Boot room needs a really good sweep/clean out. The pistes themselves are not everso high - our previous trips have been to resorts at a higher altitude, so we are spoiled. When you are up on the pistes at Zell the signage is not very clear which I found annoying - very easy to mistake a blue run for a black run so you have to be very careful! It's quite a long day, but you can get buses (or even a taxi) to Kitzsteinhorn which does have really dramatic scenery and higher runs. If you get non-skiing weather, or go in summertime, we recommend Tauern Spa at Kaprun - again a couple of buses away. Quite expensive to get in, but an amazing place with loads of pools inside and out.

Perfect For Skiers

Everything was extremely clean so made it very comfortable. Wonderful views from the appartment and the sunny balcony was fabulous which we spent a lot of time on. The apartment was modern, well equipped with ample storage and well looked after,

Unfortunately for us (late 60's/70) it was up a mountain road so quite steep and so we had to catch the bus into Zell em See rather expensive for just fresh bread. We could not possibly have walked down or up the road.. if we had known this we would not have booked. BUT this is an excellent location for skiers and mountain walkers, they would love the location, unfortunately not for us as we would have loved to do more walking!!!!

Die Gegend war sehr schön, von dem Appartement hätten wir uns mehr versprochen.

Die Lage war gut

Die Betten haben geknarrt, keine Kaffeemaschine vorhanden, der Ventilator im Bad war zu laut. Die ausgeklappen Füße des Schrankbetts wurden durch die Enge des Durchgang zu Stolperfallen. Das Appartement unserer Mitreißenden war im gleichen Haus aber wesentlich besser und das zum fast gleichen Preis (25,-€ teurer).
