Papyrus City Centre Apartments

It was quirky, I wouldn't say that the pictures gave it a better appearance than it actually was. It was adequate for us. I liked the outside space, but it was all pretty old and rickety. The stairs would not be managed by a lot of people and were probably a bit unsafe, It wasn't far to the centre, and very close to Chania Porta, there were 2 X cafe neon right beside it and a small supermarket virtually next door. I liked the area. So really it was perfectly adequate. And sound for a couple of nights.

so much storageroom, the balcony and the proximity to the city center and the bus stop

the stairs

the balcony excellent, really nice! there was everything we needed! the bed didn’t make any sound ;)

the air conditioner leaked a little bit of water on the balcony

The kitchen was fully equipped, the olive oil, salt and greek coffee was a nice touch. The location was great, close to the city center but not overlooking the road, so quiet at night. The beds were comfy.

Steep and narrow stairs, would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues or heavy luggage. The room needs a renovation (several broken tiles and bathroom accessories) or at least a deep cleaning. The bathroom had no ventilation and has a tilt so the water does not drain properly. The AC is very old and extremely noisy. The room was not cleaned at all during our 6-night stay and there was no equipment for us to clean with either, so the floor was a constant mess from the shower water. The first night we were left with no running water, with the host claiming it's the city's issue. Still good to know if the area is prone to such events.
