Peaceful, remote, cozy

A very peaceful and authentic place to stay with friendly and attentive hosts. The area is beautiful, the cottage is cozy, and has almost everything you'd need. The collection of cats that roam the place is also a huge plus for any cat lover ;)

There's nothing negative I can say that wasn't clearly signposted before booking - the location is remote and the signal is poor, but that's the point and it was known to us before booking.

Highly recommend!!

Claire, Chris and their family were excellent hosts. We really enjoyed our stay on their working farm. They gave us plenty of tips on where to visit, eat and also included us in their day to day routine. They stayed in the adjoining property and were very responsive to our queries. The abode was cosy and well stocked with food & beverages. They even includes their own farm eggs and excellent home made chilli jam. Bear in mind that the farm is a few hundred metres above sea level, so temperatures can be about 2C lower than sea level. Nonetheless, their friendly hospitality warmed our stay immensely.

A lovely cottage in Tregaron

A beautiful stone cottage in the middle of the countryside, to get away from everything. This lovely accommodation provides everything you could possibly need. With an opportunity to feed the animals as well, if you are lucky. The kids loved the bunkbed room, and being able to see into the kitchen was a bit of a treat. We used the stairgate to stop the sleepwalker, which was super handy. The logburner was superb, when things were a bit cold and damp outside. The beautiful welcome basket was delightful with a cheese and some wonderful crackers and the owners very own created condiments were delish. The view was superb. An excellent place to stay with family to explore the countryside or as a jump off point to be touristy.

The host was very welcoming and the property was very clean with lots of toys & games for children and lots of books & DVDs. It was a great experience to stay on a working farm and the kids enjoyed helping to feed the animals.

Met as strangers, left as friends.

This place is amazing. We liked everything, the family that lives there are so accommodating and chilled. The cottage is gorgeous and has so much character. We felt at home immediately. Claire and Chris were so wonderful and showed us around their farm and taught us a lot about their way of life. It was a very good stay, a wonderful homestead, and the food they grow and make in the smokery are absolutely gorgeous.

We liked it all. May benefit from a hair dryer, but otherwise all amazing.

Peaceful family holiday

Everything was great, very peaceful and comfortable. Friendly animals especially cats. Great areas to have a walk. There is a nearby bus stop that takes you to Aberystwyth.

Hardly no wifi, nor phone reception. Felt bit chilly in the house. No shop around the house within walking distance.

A real farm in the middle of lovely countryside.

The host Chris and Claire were very friendly and helpful. Long chat with both of them - good advice on where to visit. Our little boy loved the animals on the farm. Pigs, sheep, cats and a puppy to play with.

Fabulous

Everything about the break was as advertised . My daughter really enjoyed the interaction with the animals and my wife and I loved the quiet . The place is ideally situated for trips to nearby Aberaeron and New-quay allowing for some lovely sea views and we also managed to catch a glimpse of the dolphins from the beach. The hosts are very welcoming and offer a variety of different food options from their onsite business. Will definitely be booking this again

Difficult to find fault as its exactly as described and you are well informed on arrival. I will say that the staircase is a little difficult at early hours to go to the bathroom but that's all that I can think of. ( although this is just part of the Building and I am only trying to find something due to the question) This is by no means a complaint..

Idyllische Ferienwohnung in Westwales

Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern Chris & Claire war ausgezeichnet. Beide kümmern sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste und uns erwarteten in der Küche der Ferienwohnung schon landestypische Knabberein, ein zu Ostern passendes Schokoei, frische Eier und Milch usw. Besonders schön waren die beiden Gläser mit der in der hofeigenen Räucherei hergestellten Chilijams. Sehr lecker! Uns fehlte es an nichts und Chris und Claire versorgten uns günstig mit Brennholz, geräuchertem Bacon und Eiern. Das pünktlich zu Ostern noch 5 Osterlämmchen auf dem Hof geboren wurden, war eine besondere Freude und Claire hat das schwarze Babylamm nach unserem Sohn benannt. Die beiden sind die perfekten Gastgeber. Das Häuschen selbst ist urig und sehr gemütlich. Obwohl wir viel unterwegs waren, haben wir jede Minute auf dem Hof genossen.
