Susy’s Garden

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Het huis is erg sfeervol, de keuken is top uitgerust en de bedden slapen heerlijk. Het absolute hoogtepunt was het uitzicht over de stad; we hebben prachtig van het vuurwerk kunnen genieten! De verhuurder reageert snel en vriendelijk. Naar Funchal centrum lopen is goed te doen maar de weg terug is stijl omhoog en daarmee erg intensief. Maar beneden prima parkeergarages. Kleine kanttekening: we vonden de prijs aan de hoge kant voor de huidige staat van de woning. Er zijn wat zaken los of kapot, de badkamers zijn wat gedateerd, bijv alleen filterkoffie. Ook was het zwembad in december te koud om te gebruiken (bijverwarmen kost €40 per dag, wat wij bovenop de huurprijs vrij fors vonden). Al met al een fijn huis en zeker een aanrader in Funchal, maar de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding kan scherper.

Downstairs living area, dining room, kitchen and pool were all very good.

Second bathroom too small with nowhere to put toiletries. Only one bedroom with a double bed so not ideal for two couples. Also on a very steep hill.

A beautiful hideaway within walking distance of the centre of Funchal. Susy has designed the villa using her artistic talents and made it a cosy, clean and comfortable place to stay. wonderful !!

We stayed in this villa for 2 weeks. The house and Susy's hospitality was just amazing. The villa looks even better in real! The location, the view overlooking Funchal, swimming pool and the bedrooms are the best ever! You have total privacy in and around the house. The villa is beautiful decorated, but also calm looking and very clean! This gave us an extra special feeling during our holiday. Everyday we just woke up in paradise with a view to die for (also from the bedroom). A true gem in Funchal. We would definitely recommend it to everyone!
