Five nights at the White Heron

We enjoyed our stay at the White Heron, from the friendly welcome we received when we arrived everything was excellent. The room was a nice size and comfortable, breakfast was great and the whole of the guest house was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of room to park the car. There were shutters on the bedroom windows which gave you the option of having the bedroom in complete blackout or you could let as much light in as you wanted, also they surpressed the noise from the traffic.

There was nothing to be unhappy about 🙂

everything you would want for a very nice breakfast to start the day. A very pleasant atmosphere. everyone was very helpful. we would highly recommend this B&B.

Great stay in fantastic surroundings!

I promise you, you will be taken good care of at this B&B. Super clean, nice room and building, good - no, very good! - breakfast made by two very nice hosts. The room and the bathroom were fine, even though the power in the shower in England is as it is. Oh, and yes, we could hear some cars outside, but it was mainly quiet in the late evening and night. We slept well. Perhaps one could wish to stay a bit closer to the beach, but again: No. This was fine!

What I didn't like? I think I'll have to pass on this one.

Breakfast was perfect. Especially loved the imaginative and delicious fresh fruits/ berries

It was all great: it's just that I prefer a bath to a shower. But the shower was a very good

Polzeath is a beautiful place to stay Paul and Margaret are the best hosts, lovely people that enjoy meeting new guests. We will be back next year from Australia

It was well above mu expectations.

Hosts Margaret and Paul were wonderful. Warm and welcoming. Made sure I was comfortable at all times. Breakfast was great with a good selection. The Inn has been around for a long time, but the facility was clean, well maintained and had all the modern features that I needed, Wi-Fi, charger ports etc. Within walking distance of a local pub/restaurant and a local convenience shop.

The stay was good.

Perfect breakfast and lots of options. The host were always happy to assist with my dietary requirements. Fresh fruits and juice available each day, coffee machine with freshly ground coffee was a treat.

Would prefer king size bed over double. Nothing wrong with the one we had, just personal prefernce as I am used to a king size bed.

Feels like home

Friendly and welcoming staff makes you feels at home. exceptional breakfast. Very clean and 100% COVID safe. The electric shutter was a pleasant surprise, I love sleep in pitch black and usually I have to use the eye mask, here I could enjoy a great night sleep without the mask.

Well acceptable stay for four nights

Breakfast very good . Room very good . location was good except for steep hill walk back from beach to hotel. We are elderly couple.

Very lovely and enjoyable family holiday

Very good cooked breakfast every morning. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and even served me fish for breakfast on the last morning as I don’t eat pork and also omelette although it was not on the menu. Thank you to Paul, Margaret and Jodie for all the information about the area and for your friendliness

very welcoming clean friendly nothing to much trouble

The owners were excellent nothing was to much trouble made us so welcome even made us a cup of tea whilst we checked in room was very comfortable & clean everything you needed was there if not then they would sort it breakfast was excellent and varied

unfortunately bar was not open but can understand as only just reopened due to pandemic but not a issue

Overall a very welcoming experience. Very good breakfast and an excellent standard of food served in the restaurant in the evening. An excellent choice of gluten free food!
