12 Westward Flats is a well presented two-bedroom, first floor apartment in the coastal resort village of Polzeath, Cornwall. It is ideally located within walking distance of the popular Polzeath beach; a family favourite. It is the ideal base for those wishing to spend long fun filled days at the seaside or explore further a field and take in all the delights Cornwall has to offer.

On first entering 12 Westward Flats you will be greeted by the beachy open-plan living area with cosy furnishings and comfortable seating, which is perfect for quiet evenings in after energetic days at the beach; there is a drop leaf dining table for family meals and a kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

Down the corridor are both bedrooms; the first has a plush double bed and the second has two single twin beds; along with a family bathroom equipped with a shower over bath, wash basin and WC. The property does not have a garden, but the beach is just a short walk away.

Within walking distance are many local shops providing everything holiday makers need, along with an excellent selection of restaurants. Polzeath beach is a haven for families, sun worshippers and avid surfers alike due to its vast golden sands, powerful waves and amazing atmosphere. The beach is also home to a nature reserve and many rockpools ready to be explored.

Good facility despite the hill (!) but we knew that before we came as e have been coming to Polzeath for over 40 years. Would highly recommend and have booked for next year

The location of this apartment is excellent ,just a short walk to the beach and opposite the pub. Unfortunately its interior is at best described as very tired. The flat is cluttered with old junk including paint pots. Leaving no space to hang clothes and put away your belongings . The bathroom needs a completed overhaul including getting rid of the stained toilet. When the fuse went on the oven, the rental company addressed the problem very promptly but told us that the old night storage heater had tripped the switch as it couldn’t be turned up above the lowest setting. Cleanliness is paramount at all times especially in the current pandemic. To find the vacuum cleaner full of previous stays and a cigarette butt in an ashtray and a stained duvet was very disappointing. Had the apartment been cleaned after the last customers had left was difficult to say. Not we would expect and certainly not typical of our previous stays in Polzeath

A nice property, but much smaller than we had imagined. Lovely views from the back of the property. When we arrived there was unfortunately a strong smell of cigarettes in the property, which was a shame as the place was kept very clean and there was everything for any eventuality. Cornwall Hideaways are a very efficient company and we had a problem with some wall lights - I called them and by the time we came back in the afternoon, the fault had been rectified. They are very polite people.
