Pleasant but not perfect

The pool was nice and so was the restaurant.

The restaurant opened at 4 but there was no option for breakfast. I had find breakfast every morning. There was no water available like in every other establishment in Mexico. You had to buy it from the reception or outside.

Good for a short stay, too many niggles to stay more than a night in comfort.

The location was good, close to the mission. The hotel looked great, a classic mexican style hotel with a courtyard. The majority of the staff were very helpful in answering our requests.

The bathroom had black mould and smelt damp on arrival. The hot water was temperamental and took about 5 minutes to heat up (points to ageing facilities). Our room had an outward facing window which looked onto the pool. This meant we were kept awake until 2 am due to loud music from the Cigara Bar despite asking the reception for them to turn the music down. The general manager seemed grumpy and uninterested.

so much to improve

Muy buena ubicacion.

With exception of 2 rooms, all other have windows to the interior of the hotel, that means to the hallway. the windows dont have nor glass, nor mosquito net, and even not curtains. so basically you cannot open them unless you want everybody to see you. If you switch on the a/c, it flows directly to the bed, so it is a sure way to get ill. The 2 rooms with windows to the outside have them to a bar/restaurant that plays loud music till early morning. All in all, a very old hotel with vety old installations.

Good hotel, could do with some maintenance.

The hotel is charmingly old. We were lucky and we got the only room with a balcony to the swimming pool, which helped a lot with the illumination and ventilation of the bedroom. The other rooms had windows to the corridors, so people usually kept them closed for privacy. Very nice swimming pool area, great to spend the hot afternoons if you are not going to the waterfalls around the city.

The hotel wasn't very clean, some towels and bedsheets from other rooms could be seen in the corridors. The bathroom had big leaks from the ceiling that would leave a puddle on the floor and would fall on you while you were in the toilet. The swimming pool area can get loud at night as the place is shared with the restaurant. Staff at the reception wasn't very helpful, I asked if they could call a taxi to come and get me, but according to them they didn't have any numbers or contact details of any taxi companies. I had to leave my luggage at the hotel and went to the city centre to look for one myself.

We liked that it was close to downtown, that it had a swimming pool in it, that was awesome. Staff was good and we appreciate the extra hour for our checkout.

The shower was clogged. The mattress wasn't comfortable and the pillows were too flat.

Great location around the corner from the town square. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, except one brooding young guy who checked us in.

While the hotel was a beautiful old building, it needs a lot of updating. Bathroom was not clean with black mold on the grout and of broken tiles. Fowl odor from the sink drain.

La ubicación es buena, buen precio. La zona es segura.

La cama está muy dura, no se puede dormir bien porque se escucha todo lo que habla la gente que pasa por los pasillos. Se escucha mucho la campana de la iglesia. El estacionamiento está a unas cuadras del hotel.

Hermoso hotel en una hermosa ciudad.

Es hermoso y espacioso, al principio, a pesar de estar vacío el hotel, nos dieron una habitación sin ventana (no se aclaraba en la publicación de Booking), pero en cuanto lo mencionamos, no dudaron en darnos una habitación hermosa y con un balconcito a la pileta.

El wifi no es bueno, pero podría tratarse más de una limitación por la geografía de la zona, no lo sé.
