Cernobbio Park apartment overlooking Lake Como

We loved the location, the views from the apartment, and the space. We were even treated to an amazing fireworks display from Villa D'Este on the Saturday evening. The apartment is a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal and once we had figured out that you can book tickets online and had our PPF2 masks (which only seem to be required for boarding and then can be removed!) we really enjoyed travelling around the lake by ferry. We also hired a boat in Cernobbio a couple of times which was the highlight of the trip for our teenagers. We stayed for 8 nights during a heat wave and were delighted that the air conditioning was very effective. The apartment is very spacious, and the kitchen was mainly fairly well equipped but I think it and the apartment in general could do with someone going round and removing some of the things that aren't needed including a couple of the more spooky portraits. It would also really help with parking if the cupboard in the garage was removed. (In general its much easier to drive in a smaller car in this part of Italy but we had driven from the UK so that wasnt an option.)

I’ve never stayed in a place where the reviews were so off from reality. If I could sum this place up in one word, it would be spooky. It’s really really old. It’s not beautiful antiques, it’s old spooky furniture and paintings everywhere that look like they haven’t been moved in two hundred years. I get that it’s Italy and that things are always older there, but I’m literally writing this from another VRBO in a far more remote location of Italy that doesn’t feel nearly as old and non functioning as this place did. This is a three bedroom apartment with several tiny little spooky rooms that either serve no purpose, or that have a cot thrown in them and then are counted as a bedroom. The manager was not the super friendly guy in the reviews and only showed up the last day to collect the very unusual cash payment that you have to pay him directly. I’ve stayed on lake Como before and paid the tourist tax in cash so that’s to be expected. 32 euros for a family of four for four nights. I had to pay 232 euros for four nights in cash on top of the price of the VRBO. I’ve stayed all over Italy and the world and never had to pay a large cash payment like that. Take that into account when you look at the price that VRBO is charging you because it’s on top of that. I could go on and on about the issues with this apartment but I will just add this last thing. I have absolutely never been to a rented house or apartment with less necessities provided. No soap, no paper towels, no water, very few towels, no soap for washer, no milk for coffee. Most places in this price range at least provide something to get you started. Imagine showing up fairly late after a long day of traveling and realizing you have nothing at all in the apartment. The place I’m staying now for example had wine, bread, soap, milk and many other things that one may need, and it cost two hundred less a night! I don’t expect all of that but at least leave the basics. I hate to leave such a bad review but if someone had done that for me, I wouldn’t have spent so much staying in such a disappointing apartment.

Great property!!! Beautiful views, will definitely stay here again!! Frederico was extremely helpful and accommodating when our plans took a detour.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable with an incredible balcony. The location was perfect for walking to the ferry to get anywhere on the lake.

No hesitation in highly recommending this property. Absolutely loved it. Federico is wonderful and so accommodating. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Beautiful views, beautiful property and a fantastic location.

We had a great 5 nights and days at the apartment and around Cernobbio and surrounds. Finding the apartment, meeting Federico (owner) and settling in was simple. The 3 minute walk to the lake.... a breeze. Great eateries close. A longer stay is well /truly warranted!

Our family of 6 adults truly enjoyed the spacious apartment we rented in Cernobbia. Great location within walking distance to ferry that took us across the lake. Accommodations were more than adequate; Fredrico made sure we were well taken care us even to the arranging of hiring a driver to pick us up at rail station.

We enjoyed our stay in Frederico’s apartment. It is very spacious with a lovely view from the balcony. Cernobbio was very busy at the weekend with live entertainment down by the lake and a bit quieter during the week. There is a ferry stop to anywhere on the lake so you won’t need a car. Nothing is more than 5/10 minutes walk. The lido is beautiful if a little expensive.

The apartment is in a great location on Lake Como and the town of Cernobbio ended up being one of our favorites on the lake for restaurants, town square, lido, and ease of getting around. There was plenty of space for our group (5 adults and 2 kids) and the outdoor balcony surrounding the apartment is great to have. Federico was very helpful with check in and coordinating our arrival. He also checked in with us regularly to ensure we didn't need anything else.

This apartment is better in real life than the pictures and description. it is only a block from downtown shops and dining. It is gated and has a garage if required. It occupies the entire floor of the building with windows and patios that surround you. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with everything you would need. Check in and checkout were perfect. Federico communicates comfortably in english and is very responsive. I'd give him six stars if I could.

We loved the town of Cernobbio! This property is close to the centre of town and many great restaurants. Very nice!

Six of us spent the week in this magical place within walking distance to Lake Como. The Villa D'Este was about a 10 minute walk from the apartment and is not to be missed. There are several fine restaurants nearby and a 10 minute walk to the ferry dock for transport around the lake. We were there to enjoy a wedding reception for our nephew and his bride who is from the area. Cernobbio is a wonderful town right on the lake. It has a delightful small town feel, yet is close enough by ferry to the bustling city of Como to allow for first class shopping and a city market loaded with interesting less expensive wares. My favorite purchase at the market a pair of 5 euro pants! The accommodations were terrific. Enough space for all. Even though the bathrooms are not "en suite", there were three of them and the guys graciously decided the smaller of the three would be theirs, allowing the girls to share the other two. (thanks, guys!) Our host, Frederico couldn't have been more helpful. Every time we had questions, he responded quickly via text messaging and was kind enough to put the Kindle I accidentally left behind in the mail. I don't know why but almost every night we enjoyed spectacular fireworks from our terrace. We assume they were from celebrations at the Villa D'Este. Of course we loved having coffee on the terrace in the morning, walks down to a fabulous Patisserie a couple of blocks away and two great gelato shops on the way to the town square. We couldn't have had a nicer week. Thanks, Frederico for a comfortable place to stay and explore the most spectacular lake I've ever seen. It was magical. Hope to return someday soon. The apartment has an extraordinarily beautiful porch. We enjoyed it every morning and night. The apartment itself is well decorated and spacious, taking up a whole floor. The porch also wraps around the entire floor, and has a great view. The apartment is convenient to many restaurants, shops and the lake. Federico’s service is tremendous! He met us at the apartment on our arrival, with groceries stocked, and responded very quickly to our requests. He recommended restaurants, which had delicious food. The living room, dining room, kitchen and 4 of the bedrooms are air conditioned. The 5th is not, but faces north, so we were fine without air conditioning in it. There is a washer and drying rack. Clothes dry easily on the porch. There also is an elevator. You will not be disappointed!

We were 7 of us who stayed in this apartment and it fulfilled every expectation we had. The balcaony around the flat was one of the hightligts for us - sitting out there both in the mornings and evenings were just wonderful. Just a short walk to restaurants, the bus station and the pier.

The Apart IS as gorgeous as it looks. Clean, vast and everything you need! Superb location and Extremely attentive owner Federico. Showed us the schedules, made restaurant calls for us- More like a concierge than onwer. We ate breakfast on the balcony int he mronig and Stayed up to watch Lightning storms at night. EASY walk to town and lake in 2 minutes. We used the boat shuttles for Como, Nesso, Lezzeno etc but drove to Menaggio for superb refugio visit. Strenuous hiking right out the door up towards Switzerland though if you want. Hightly recommended but I will be very sad when this place is booked 100% of the time and we cant get back to stay there ourselves

We enjoyed a couple of nice days in the apartment. Fede Rico was good in the communication upon arrival and gave us a good intro and instructions to the house and the facilities in the apartment. The apartment is HUGE with balcony on all 4 sites of this roof top apartment, however some of the furniture seemed a little old (but clean ) The pictures of the pool and the mention of the pool in the description a little misleading - as it concerned a comunal pool , about a 5-10 min walk from the apartment. This was a little disappointing. The WiFi wasn’t great either but apart from that the place and stay was good.

L appartement est très bien situé , près des commerces et de la ville de Cernobbio . Nous avons était très bien accueilli par frederico . Nous nous sommes rapidement senti chez nous . Manquait juste un peu de vaisselle , verres , transat sur la terrasse entre autres et aussi peut être ajouter des peignoirs . L espace pour cuisiner est très bien organiser . Machine à laver le linge et vaisselle parfait . On avait une télé , qu on a pas du tout utilse . La région à découvrir est extra ! La circulation est vraiment facile en voiture . L accès aux différents lieux principaux est sans problème . On a trouvé des plages de cailloux à priximite . ( amener des chaussons pour marcher sur les galets ) . Tout bien . On a découvert cette région qui est superbe . Quel dépaysement !! On a pu disposé de l appartement jusque 12 h le dernier jour . Merci encore
