We absolutely enjoyed it and the host was very welcoming and great in explaining everything.
The view, the yard, the house itself, it was very comfortable and well equipped.

gnats. not sure how this could be helped. there was a bug spray in the room but not sure how effective it was as we had lots of bites. not really reflective of the hotel at all though

Exceptional
Superb interior design, brilliantly well equipped kitchen, quality bedding, lovely indoor and outdoor space and every bedroom huge and gorgeous, generous extras like lovely honey, Nutella, loads of coffee. A really special place for a treat. We loved it. Short walk downhill on cobbles to village, steep walk up (if you've got older people in your group), otherwise a nice bit of exercise. Local restaurant 2 mins walk away
A kettle would be helpful for the tea drinkers but not essential!

The best stay in Cernobbio
Our stay in Casa Santo Stefano was just perfect. The location is great, the design of the whole Casa and the rooms is unbelievable, not to mention about the host. He is very kind and helpful. The breakfast included a variety of goodies, all handmade and delicious. There is a private parking also. Highly recommended.

Like an elegant gentleman's hideaway
I wanted to live in the deluxe suite with terrace. Just like the photos, it was beautifully furnished and had gorgeous views of the city, mountains, and lake. Breakfast was superb. Up windy roads, not great for walking, the inn is in an untouristy residential neighborhood of villas.

Good breakfast. Beautiful spacious room,junior suite with very nice view. Nice garden and pool area. Very clean and beautiful decoration in all house.
The location is on the top of the village Cernobbio.I didn't have a car and it was difficult to find a taxi.Walking down to the lake it was ok but hard to go up.Better to have a car if you go to this property also to move around. Beautiful view to the lake but also roads down makes noises.
