The property offers free access to the onsen close by which is filled with many locals. You can go to the port, the city center and china town by foot. There are shared bathrooms and showers and the staff is very kind. You also get to drink a sake from Kobe on arrival with the owner.
The kitchen does not fully function, but this is no problem since there are plenty good dining offers around. Also the water in the shower was broken while we were there (there was only cold water) but the owner informed us beforehand and recommended to just shower at the onsen instead.

Nice decoration, nice staff, and get free onsen ticket, free onsen egg at breakfast!

The room was comfortable and the air conditioner/heater worked perfectly. It is also close to Sannomiya Station which makes it easy to get around Kobe. The neighborhood was quiet too. The host was very nice and welcoming. The shared bathroom and shower was very nice.
The room was quiet for me but it is in an old building so I'm not sure how soundproof it is.

It is a nice gesture with the welcome drink and onsen but maybe offer some other drinks for people who can't take alcohol.
More sound proofing would be nice.
