Golden Grain Beachfront Suites

Die Pension ist wunderbar, direkt am Strand und in unmittelbarerer Nähe (ca. 15 Min. mit dem Auto) von Heraklion gelegen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit wirklich allem was benötigt wird. Es wird zudem ein Strandbeutel mit Badehandtüchern zur Verfügung gestellt, was ich wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und praktisch finde. Was den Aufenthalt ganz besonders gemacht hat, war jedoch die unglaubliche freundliche und herzliche Art mit der wir empfangen und umsorgt wurden. Insbesondere als es meiner Tochter kurzzeitig gesundheitlich nicht gut ging. Ein großes Dankeschön an Vèronique, ihren Mann und das Team des Golden Grain. Es war ein wunderschöner Kurzurlaub auf Kreta! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Excellent place, beautiful and cosy apartment, just a few steps from the sea, nice green yard with sunbeds, tavernas nearby. It was our first time in Crete, with family (two teenager kids), we stayed for one week and had the most wonderful time in here! Waking up in the morning hearing the sea nearby, watching amazing sunsets, swimming all day long. Didn’t want to leave.. Special thanks to the owner Véronique and the housekeeper Dorota, they made our stay so special, providing excellent service and taking care of everything! The breakfast was amazing, brought right to the room every morning. It was a dream vacation, thank you very much! Ευχαριστώ πολύ!

The building is beautiful and right on the beach. The balcony is large. Everything was very clean. It is close to the KTEL bus stop, and the area is quiet.

We did not enjoy our stay entirely. The owner was hypocritical (even aggresive) and asked us to pay because my husband, who has terminal metastatic cancer, tried to use the money safe and the key broke inside. He did not have the strength in his hand to break it. Anyone who has cared for a loved one in the final stage of cancer will understand what I mean. I told her that I wasn't going to pay. The owner was harsh, unkind, and showed no empathy or basic decency. I got the impression that I was expected to clean the room before leaving. Tell me if I am wrong!
