Best room in Morecambe

Cute, cosy, well furnished one bedroom flat. Amazing location with large windows opening out into the bay with amazing views.

Was advertised as having a coffee maker but was only a cafetiere, which I know is a kind of coffee maker but coffee maker is usually a machine. A bit picky. We found the tv hard to work too but admit to being techno-oldies

Nice enough needs attention to detail

The property was clean and spacious the wifi was of decent enough speed , kitchen is well equipped for a short stay. The view is lovely overlooking the bay next to the eric statue

Although at first glance the property is nice there are a fair amount of issues the bed is very firm and needs a decent tipper or new mattress, the toilet flush button is not actually attached causing inconsistent flushes , windows are hard to open , bedroom light did not work , the television was not cable as advertised and in-fact the software is not supported anymore making it very difficult to access apps. From an accessibility point of view their is a lift to the flat just be aware that if you are in a wheelchair it is a very tight fit

The lift was out of order and has been for two weeks on our arrival date. The apartment is on the second floor and if you were dependent on the lift your stay was ruined.

Exellent everything was near by

The location was brilliant because we had a sea view and it wasn't far to walk to the shops and pubs we are out

Lift we had to walk up and down steps three times and the fire alarm waking us up at one o'clock in the morning beeping

Lovely few days away in modern sea view apartment

The location of the apartment was excellent, it is right on the seafront opposite the Eric Morecambe statue. It is close to pubs, cafes, restaurants and the promenade and stone jetty. The layout of the apartment is modern and pleasant. There is an island with a hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, so all the facilities required for a few days away.

Unfortunately the broadband was not accessible the whole time we were at the apartment. The network did not appear on any of our devices. I emailed the contact for the apartment and it was reset to no avail. This was around 4pm on the Friday and had no further contact all weekend so assumed I had contacted an office. There was a cable with a network connection in the bedroom into the building through the window frame so unsure whether that was supposed to be plugged into a smart plug or something but there wasn’t anything there to plug into. We needed broadband so it was lucky we could connect to a BT hotspot but if we hadn’t it would have impacted on our stay.

Well kept, bright apartment in great location

The apartment was in a great location with lots of natural light, looking out over the beach and with places to eat and grocery shops all around. It was well presented and clean, and the process of getting the keys was simple. It has a dishwasher and washing machine so was suited to a longer stay. Bin storage is clearly marked and residents in the building were quiet and considerate. Staying here was excellent value compared to nearby hotels.

The television was broken (host has been notified and was not aware at the time of our stay) and the mattress incredibly firm - as side sleepers, this meant several nights of poor sleep and sore shoulders. As the apartment is right next to a road, traffic can be heard at night. The curtains are not blackout and so lots of light enters the bedroom - fabulous during the day, not so fabulous at 7am!

The toilet seat was missing one of the fixings but I'm sure that will be sorted as everything else was great. Couldn't work out how to use the built in microwave, some instructions would be helpful, could be we missed something obvious mind you.

The apartment was just lovely. As you step in you will just say wow. We did. It overlooks Eric Morecombes statue. Had a great stay.

Disappointing second visit

This was our second stay after the first being 10/10. We have to say that the only thing we liked this time about our stay was the location.

Unfortunately the property was dirty which really shocked us. So firstly around the tea and coffee facilities it seemed like whoever had cleaned it had just wiped around without moving anything. The tea, coffee and sugar tins were all dirty, there was a jar of nescafe and box of teabags that were already used so these had clearly been left unwashed for a while. The cupboard above the cooker had a red chopping board in there that looked like somebody had buttered and sliced toast on it as the knife was there too!! Full of crumbs and butter. The white chairs around the lovely glass table have sticky dirty marks (finger marks) on them. Food residue in the fridge too. I seriously couldn't believe the difference this time staying there and we stayed September 2022, so not that long ago and we were blown away at the cleanliness etc at that time. So I put the glass extractor fan light on and old dust (not just surface dust) it was dust on dust covered it. I appreciate that to manoeuvre the wooden bed may be difficult but it doesn't mean you cannot hoover underneath it as its not a solid divan. Absolutely gutted to then use the bathroom and the toilet seat be broken aswell, do the cleaning staff not lift the seat to have known this? And I'd rather not comment on the toilet brush. This is probably the worst review I've ever had to write and it's been difficult as a family we have an air B&B and appreciate the work that goes into running accommodation, it can be challenging. However if these issues are not risen then other people will be disappointed too. For me I feel really disappointed with our stay 😔

Toilet not working toilet seat broken. (Looking at other reviews, it appears this is an ongoing problem). Lift broken so difficult to get luggage up the stairs Poor information. Whoever owns this flat needs to update their information, stating clearly where it is as no numbers can be seen if you arrive late. Car park information, it is not free to park overnight from the flat. WIFI terrible hardly works at all. Information in the booklet for WiFi password is misleading. How do you put heating on when it turns off?

A lovely lovely place to stay

We couldn't believe how gorgeous this place was, absolutely immaculate inside, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We came for a little break away from day to day life. We came home feeling de stressed, mainly because our accommodation was just perfect. We met the lady who cleans on leaving and she was so lovely! So friendly and chatty. Her cleaning standards are 10/10, I cannot remember her name unfortunately 😔 thank ypu for a lovely stay and I'm sorry its taken me a number of weeks until I got round to doing this review. We hope we can stay again🥰

Very happy

I usually stay at the auckland. Seen this and thought ill have a change. Wasn't disappointed the room was immaculate. Everythings new and modern. Its clear its not just a money spinner the owner spends cash on keeping everything up to date and looking fab.

The only issue/s we had was firstly the email said the key fob was red. Its not its blue. The other issue was the toilet was broken. The cistern doesnt fill up. I had to fill the kettle up and pour it in to be able to flush it. Though this was slightly disappointing ive no doubt if the owner knew about this theyd have it fixed. the rest of the apartment, how it looks how its maintained is testament to that.

Comfortable well equipped apartment, ideal sea front location but quiet in the evening. Great views over the bay and the hills opposite. Inexpensive parking just around the corner and you can pay in the evening for the next day.
