About this villa rental
"Vila Mar" is part of an "Exclusive", "Private", "Peaceful", "Well Maintained", "Secure", condominium,with a small Nº of Villas. Extensive Manicured Beautifully kept Gardens, with lots of trees & birds,rolling lawns surrounding the big Swimming Pool, with a separate shallower area for Children.Despite being walking distance to various Top Beaches, Excellent Restaurants,Viby Nightlife,Bares,Supermarkets,the "Old Town" of Albufeira,the famous "Strip",local "Giro" bus, Touristic Train, etc,the Condo. is very tranquil and peaceful.The Villa is South-facing, double storey building, with its private car-port. From the upstairs terrace of the Main bedroom, one can see snippets of the sea. Villa Mar has been decorated with a special charm and uniqueness. Downstairs is a private enclosed garden, with a green wrought iron table with 6 chairs, and strong big umbrella, including your private built in BBQ w/chimney. There are loungers for sun tanning/relaxing/reading etc.The little gate at the end of the garden takes you directly to the swimming pool. The complex has a locked entrance, a motorized gate, so it is quite secure and very private. There is a large pool and shallower children´s pool and attractive extremely well maintained very spacious gardens all around, with a Tennis court.The Children have lots of space to ride bikes and run free on the lush lawns, within the safety of a closed condominium.THERE IS AIR CONDITIONING IN ALL THE 3 BEDROOMS INCLUDING LOUNGE/DINING ROOM. It takes 15 minutes leisurely walk along the Forte de São João Beach into the old town of Albufeira with its shops, bars and restaurants and fantastic night life. The famous Strip/Street of the Bars is 3 min walk. You do not need a car as the bus-Giro service is very good. There are plenty sightseeing tours available, car hire is available at the airport. There are wonderful beaches and villages along the Algarvian coast. A short trip inland takes you to the old Algarve where life has not changed much for years. It is a 4 min drive to Balaia Village Golf Course, 8 min to Salgados Golf Course and 20 min to all the Golf courses in Vilamoura.

What a lovely host. Villa was perfect and lots of little extras provided made our holiday more enjoyable. Not far from old town or the strip yet quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable beds

In an ideal location (lovely pool area, close to several nice restaurants and supermarkets). However, there were several issues with the property, which is dated and not well maintained including:•Insufficient instructions for locating the complex in the dark in an unknown area (opposite O Lavrador restaurant)•Front door very temperamental resulting in us being locked out of the property on more than one occasion. We eventually gained entry and I called Branca, she returned my phone call later and sent her handyman, who arrived several hours later. He showed us how and where to push the door against the frame from inside or to pull it from outside to lock / unlock it. This should not be necessary and we were very concerned about being locked out every time we went out.•No guest information pack to inform us of how to locate local amenities such as garbage disposal (out of the complex and over the road). A welcome pack would also have been appreciated as we arrived very late•No instructions how to open / close the patio doors at the rear of the property, which had a very unusual locking/ opening system and a loose handle.•One of upstairs bathrooms had no knob on the shower door. •Insufficient bath towels for the number of guests and size of property. •Some of the garden/pool chairs were rusty and unsafe, collapsing on one of my friends.•The garden required a tidy up all over, especially the overgrown bushes next to the gate to the pool area. We won't return.
