Onsen was in the room and breakfast.
Bit far from stations. Hotel Stairs was too steep. No coffee in the room.

This hotel was exceptional with all rooms having a private hot spring bathtub. Food packages include multi course fresh curated dining with attention to detail. It seemed like all staff spoke English as well. This is somewhat unusual in such a remote area of Japan.
I didn't mind, but should note that the beds are futon on the floor.

We booked this stay to treat ourselves to something special and relaxing in the middle of our 3 week road trip. It seriously delivered in that regard. The reception was wonderful, the 10 course dinner both tasty and interesting, the private hot spring water bath that came with our room was a luxury that was heavily enjoyed during our stay. Money well spent!
Because dinner has ten courses and all of it requires a lot of preparation and skill, there is quite a tight organization around dinner, which includes your having to arrive within a limited time frame. This can mean that there is a bit of rushing if you arrive a bit later and closer to dinner time, but luckily, during the dinner itself you will be able to unwind from all of the day's stresses and enjoy quality local food prepared masterfully.
