The resort is located with beautiful sweeping views of Beppu Bay from the suite, which was also nicely decorated. All the staff were very friendly, things were explained well for foreigners like how to use the facilities.
Dinner surprisingly could not accommodate dietary restrictions despite having checked in with us beforehand, although they were able to point out which of the items were problematic.
Air con machine was also a bit loud in the tatami room, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable.
Would have been nice to have had a valet pull up the parked car when checking out since it was pouring rain that day.

This hotel is amazing.. again. We stayed here last year and wanted to come back again. The room, amenities, staff and food are awesome. Can't say enough great things about this hotel. We would stay here again and again.
The only thing that was a little difficult was getting here. It's not near the train station but is on the bus route. We caught a taxi from station to get here before.

Spacious rooms, nice to have the private onsen. Very friendly staff with special attention for the honeymoon
Though we had a room in what is supposed to be the « new building », the hotel is quite old. Overall, it is way too expensive for what you get: nothing nice about the neighborhood, the breakfast has quantity but limited quality (e.g., cold eggs Benedict, low quality bread, everyone uses trays, giving the impression to be in a canteen), no fitness room in the hotel… It is our worst value for money across a 3-week trip in Japan. We don’t recommend this stay
