Quiet location and dog friendly
Nothing not to like really, the only thing I’d say is the light that is on a sensor for the bathroom could be timed to come on longer as it only stays on for approximately 5 minutes which is not long enough for a shower in the dark evenings. All added to the fun of the break though.

Property is tired and could do with a proper clean

The beds were comfortable
The kitchen is not fit for cooking in. There was hardly any cookware or utensils. The dining room was freezing, the fridge is so small you can barely fit anything in it. The hot water was intermittent and not hugely hot when it was working. The cleanliness was poor and the place smelled of cigarettes.

All I could think of is I would have been able to sweep the mess off the floor if there was a broom. But that really is trivial

Great venue and easy to find. Communication with vendors very good, including when we couldn’t get the job to work. Bedrooms were comfortable, lounge cosy and dining room huge. Would recommend eating out or takeouts for evening meals.
Kitchen very small which caused a bit of trouble when trying to sort out evening meals for us all as had not realised there was no oven only a dual hob, microwave, toaster and kettle and small under counter fridge. We made it work but would be very difficult if had five people staying and were planning on cooking. A shame as the rest of the property was lovely.

The linens on the bed and the towels were clean and of good quality.
This was a disappointment! The toilet was not fixed to the wall or the floor. The shower door was loose and did not meet.
The toaster looked as though it had been on fire. Cooking facilities consisted of two hot plates and a microwave. Mismatched crockery, cutlery and glasses (there were NO tumblers). Being 'dog friendly' we expected to be able to let the dogs out of the door into a secure area!

Quiet location with easy access to surrounding area.
There are pubs, a convenience store and take aways in nearby Toddington.
No place to park when we arrived. Heating was off so the place was cold when we arrived which was not very welcoming.
Kitchen under the stairs is miniscule with stairway rising through it, 2 hob rings, a tiny fridge and no oven so not suitable for decent self catering. Trying to make a family meal in the available space needed the skills of a gymnast in a strategy game.
Insufficient cutlery for 4 of us on arrival so contacted host who provided more.
Large dining room was not heated so host provided electric heater.
The children's delight at seeing the Xbox with games was dashed to disappointment as the controllers were unusable and there was no cable to connect to the TV
Hot water was just above luke warm and ran tepid after two showers, so not conducive to a relaxing bath.
Asked to turn heating down to 10 overnight, sorry but for £150 a night half term hike prices we were going to be warm!
Double beds against walls meant one person had to chamber over to get in or out.
Outside handle snapped off of one bedroom door.
Sensor lights on landing and in sitting room couldn't be deactivated so came on when not wanted.
Patchy WiFi
As a family we were greatly disappointed with our stay for the amount that we paid.

We were attending an event in the village within walking distance of the property so it was a perfect base. Communication with Maria was superb. Despite my comment below about buses we found a lovely off road 2mile walk to Toddington which had shops and a few great pubs. Nice to have off road parking.
Not so much the property but the fact that buses don’t seem to go through it anymore. We attended the local pub on the Saturday evening and it was having a closing down party. The locals and owner were very welcoming so it was sad to learn it would be closing. Cooking would be limited in the kitchenette but it was ample and why bother when the pub in Toddington does meals for around £10

I arrived at the property with my 80 year old Dad at 5.30 pm, check in time was 3 pm. The cottage was freezing cold and had a bad smell of damp. The guy came round, he had to turn the heating on and said it would be warm 5 minutes, the house did not warm up in 5 minutes … the radiator in the lounge area was not working, we waited for 30 minutes and decided that due to the bad smell of the property and the inadequate heating we couldn’t stay there. The hearing should’ve been switched on much earlier, considering they give a check in time of 3 pm. My Dad is an 80 year old man who is used to a nice warm house, I thought this change of environment would be good for him, oh how I was wrong! In one of the bedrooms there was a dirty towel in the dresser… I had to book us into a hotel … I have contacted the owner on two occasions requesting a refund and I have yet to receive their response.
Nothing…
When we left there was another guy that arrived and he mentioned he’d stayed in the house and had similar difficulties with the heating, bad smells and ridiculous lighting system!

good location with secure parking.
we booked both properties. neither of them had a proper kitchen. two ring hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. no ovens or washing machines.
on our first evenig one of the team had a bad accident. he fell over a rotten fence and ended up need mutliple stitches after seven and a half hours in accident and emergency. everything that is timber in the garden is dangourese. decking and fences are rotten out all fences and handrails around the decking you can push over easily. i do want anyomre else to suffer an accident like my employee.

Perfectly pleasant stay at the annexe. Maria was on hand quickly when we had an issue with the hot water
Sensor lights made it difficult when having a shower (light would just go off as sensor in the hallway) or trying to creep around in the dark - kitchen light would just come on and disturb whoever was still in the bed!
Hot water supply seems to be used by both annexe and cottage and is on a tank and not a combi boiler, so there is a limited supply. Had to wait around for over an hour to have a shower as had to use immersion heater for hot water to shower.

The location was fine.
The kitchen was not what we expected in that we had plans to oven cook an evening meal on the first night which was not possible due to there being only a microwave.

We had a very nice romantic stay in the Old Chapel Cottage. The kitchenette was big enough for the two of us and had everything we needed. The bedroom/living room had plenty of space and was very clean and comfortable. There was a spacious wardrobe and more than enough drawers. Lots of clean towels were provided. We were lucky enough to have fine weather, so we appreciated the pretty patio where we could have our meals. There's plenty to do in the area. It was a delight to go on the steam engine at Leighton Buzzard and explore nearby Rushmere Country Park and the canal.
Showers seemed to be hotter in the morning than in the evening.

A lovely place in a nice quiet area. The horses across the road were a delight in the mornings neighing and running around . The Old Chapel buildings are beautiful and it is a nice place to relax while traveling on business.
Lovely local pub the Queens Head (no kitchen however). The locals are friendly and enjoy a good chat about the village and it's history. Nice local brews on tap. There is also a local gent with a apple orchard just down the road you are welcome to pick from when in season. Huge, crunchy, and delicious!
If I'm back in the area I will absolutely book again. It is worth the 15 min drive to Leighton Buzzard if you have business there.
No food available in the village. You'll need to drive a short way to get something.

Amazing location, very quaint, beds extremely comfortable, looks of games and books.
No enough hot water to all have a hot shower for four people first two was hot 3rd person warm 4th person lukewarm/cold, parking a little tight. But all in all would stay again

Quaint little village with good access to the rugby club where we were attending a motorbike rally. Being able to sit out on the decking for breakfast in the morning was nice too.
The use of What3Words https://what3words.com/mentions.states.juicy would make finding the location easier.

Good location and plenty of space throughout the property.
Shower wasn’t particularly great and for a family stay the wifi was not good (recognise and understand the rural location and the lack of options and speed available) but as a modern family wanting to use internet for work and leisure it was problematic.

Fantastic place to stay. Host was brilliant.
The WiFi could have had a better signal.

Beautiful quirky quiet place, loved the fact you could sit out in the garden, shaded by the trees in the warm weather. Lovely surrounding area for walking the dog. Local people very friendly. Accommodation clean and tidy, kitchenette is enough to get by with preparing and cooking food if you don’t want to cook Toddington is only 2 miles down the road, with pubs and restaurants. Overall we had a brilliant stay.
Nothing not to like about this property. The only suggestion I would make is that where you gain access to the annex from off the drive way if they put a gate it would make the garden of the annex enclosed as I could have let the dog off the lead to sit/play outside on his own.

Lovely converted chapel in a village location. Very homely. Comfortable beds, nice big, soft towels( my pet hate is bath towels), parking on site.
The kitchen is incredibly tiny, under the stairs. Has a small hob and microwave, but it would be impossible to cook a meal. The bathroom is downstairs, so it might be an issue in the night if not too mobile. One pub that doesn't serve food, no shop within walking distance ( I didn't do enough research, so not a complaint more of giving information).

The location of this place was lovely, very scenic and quiet.
I had booked for business travel with my work colleague, we were put into a anex with a double bed and a sofa, the kitchen had no oven, just plug in hob and an air fryer to cook with. Since leaving the property I realised I had left my trainers which cost me £150 (on offer) I had contacted the property asking I'd they would post them to me if I paid the charge, was told they weren't in the country at present and I could collect, however i am over 150mile from the property so this was not practical, after this I had contacted the property to say I could collect them the following week as I was working away in another location, since this I have tried on numerous occasions to speak with them and collect my trainers to which I am now being completely ignored. My gut feeling is my new trainers are no longer there and the cleaner has taken them or something to this affect, I accept it was my fault for leaving them however the way this has been handled I feel is absolutely disgusting!!

Cold AF!!!!!
Parking a van is hard work
5.0 / 10.0
Parking on site. Easy access to key on arrival.
Space in bedrooms, room to unpack if so inclined.
Dog allowed
Beds comfortable
Good size towels
Kind touch to have milk in the fridge.
The kitchen or lack of…. Large dining room, two bathrooms and a lounge on the ground floor but the kitchen was just the cupboard under the stairs. No where near adequate for a three night stay. Potential for 5 guests, needs a proper kitchen. My suggestion would be make the lounge a kitchen/diner and convert the other room into a lounge.
Dog allowed but not ‘dog friendly’ as nowhere enclosed for late night wee!
The Wi-Fi was very poor. Shower needs attention as the holder was broken. Hot water not adequate so teenage son had to have a cold shower!
TV needs updating!

The location was good. The outside garden area was quite nice.
The shower was cold, tepid at best. Decor was outdated and grubby. The sensor light for the toilet was in the hallway so went off when you were in the bathroom. The toilet cistern was hanging off the wall. The parking was atrocious, we got trapped in by another guests car and had to climb in through the back to get out. The kitchen did not have an oven and the hotplate took ages to heat up then burnt the food, all the food we took with us we could not cook so a waste of money. No visible smoke alarms which was very worrying. Bed was uncomfortable. TV was tiny.

spacious accommodation for two, milk and brioche buns was a pleasant surprise, lovely to see some proper mugs, nice outdoor area
no coffee supplied, toilet cistern hanging of wall, shower door, vents and light covers need sorting, very small shower, parking is a squeeze.

The place is indeed very comfortable and peacefull allowing for proper rest.
There's no shop in this village, but there's one in the next village, just a 5-minute drive away.

The location was lovely. And huge front decking area to sit outside. Clean sheets and towels. Two toilets. Hosts communication was great.
None of the downstairs windows could be opened, only two out of the three bedroom windows could open too.
Strange smell when it had been locked up for a period of time. Lots of clutter about the place. And the kitchen if you can call it that, is basically an under stairs cupboard. Cutlery could be found in the living room. Very strange set up. Cobwebs on the windows. Bedrooms were ok, the one room you couldn’t open was like a sauna which made difficult to sleep in. Bedrooms again to much furniture in them and lots of books, collecting dust. No dustpan or cleaning equipment. Very strange set up. But could have the potential to be a great stay. Slightly disappointed.

Really easy to get to being just off A5. Lovely spot and private.
Needs a dedicated Parking space with a sign that stops other people from parking in your spot.

Nice to have tea, milk and biscuits available in the kitchen. Plenty of towels. Bed was very comfy.
Parking was available but difficult to get in and out of.

The property had no hot water, no heating and no WiFi.
The owner ignored all contact for 24 hours and I had to leave the property and pay for further accommodation. They refused to refund any money meaning I’ve lost hundreds of pounds.

Sadly there was nothing to like.
Parking was a nightmare
Cold
Kitchen was dire, literally one person was too many. Dirty, no utensils, dirty pans. No knives, no cutting boards, no washing up liquid, no dishcloths, no cleaning liquids.
Furniture was thick with dust.
One light bulb in a five or six chandelier - dark and dingy.
Curtains dirty and drab all through the house.
No heating in the dinning room
Had to get the host to change the bedding as the single bed had fleas in it.
Not acceptable at all !!! £245 for two nights is a joke, we will never return, totally ruined our weekend.

Nice cottage, very clean. The beds were comfy. Nice clean bedding and towels. The shower was warm and the living room was cosy.
The kitchen was very tight, hard to comfortably wash up and certainly not for making any meals in. It had a microwave and fridge which was good just for lunches. The cottage seems like it is used as storage a bit with all of the owners possessions in there.

The hosts were really helpful as we didn’t get access details from Booking.com. Lovely spacious accommodation for a family. Great location to get to Whipsnade and Bletchley Park
The kitchen was a lot smaller than expected with no oven. WiFi only worked in the dining room

Nothing it was not what we booked. The owner had double booked my booking and tried to lie blaming Booking.Com saying she hadn’t received booking yet she had sent a private message confirming it. The owner was also rude and surly demanding that I send her pictures of the booking, despite me telling her we were just about to eat. She insinuated that I’d lied about making the booking and initially told me I would have to pay more money.
If we had arrived later, we’d have had nowhere to stay as someone else also had a booking for the property.
Parking was a nightmare! There is no signage to indicate which property is yours. There is no outside lighting we had to use phone torch to find key hole. Kitchen is actually a cupboard under the stairs and so tiny it was difficult to even make a cup of tea. There is very little cutlery. Wi-Fi is almost nonexistent the connection was so poor. The stairs are very steep with a dangerous sharp bend. Bathroom is downstairs. Taps had green lime scale . The shower is not fit for purpose. There was no shower mat in the bath to stop slipping. There is no bedside lamp or table. The bed was very soft.

We have stayed here 3 times now and have loved it every time. Clean, cosy and very private 1 bed cottage. I think the hot water is shared with the other holiday home on site, as it seems to run out quickly, but the host is very responsive and helpful if you need the hot water turned on again. The kitchenette has a microwave and hob. There are always tea bags available and fresh milk in the fridge. The pack of biscuits left for us for our most recent stay were lovely. There is private, off-road parking on site and you let yourself in using the key safe by the door. Lovely and friendly host, who is very responsive to messages and has always accommodated slightly late check-out times for us. This little cottage is amazing value for money.
Kitchen roll and a couple of tea towels in the kitchen would be so handy, but we just bring our own.
